I'm definitely overeducated.

Probably spent about 10 years total in college (but ended up with four degrees).

Just liked school and avoiding the real world.

Thankfully, mainly to my parents, came out of it without any debt.

My father probably secretly hates me.

You messed up the kicker. It was supposed to be "...and he received the only "A" in the class!"

That story was circulating around even back in my day.

If you try to tell the story of the student turning in his test after time was called and asking "Do you know who I am?" when the professor tries to reject it, don't mess that one up.

bullshite
my daughter is in a doctoral program right now (English literature) and it isn’t costing me or her a dime. It’s fully funded and they pay her a stipend for living expenses

there is no fricking way you get half a mill in debt getting a PhD

I've only heard of one guy with a PhD in Philosophy and he was making 500 dollars cash per night with all medical bills paid back in 1989!

It depends on the university, but could be a combination of undergrad, post-grad and post-doc.

Back to the point, Husserl had a lasting influence in the philosophical world, but it's a shame his disciples took a different route such as Heidegger.

Has the one been told in this thread yet about the student who turned in his exam two minutes after getting it?

He was the only student who read the directions in full, including the last part about writing your name and turning in the exam after reading.

The original post was from 2016. The JG person in the link below worked at ULL and LSU...I’m not sure he’s old enough though.

Exactly. At the least he can teach at a community college or a secondary school. There are things that person is obviously leaving out

...but college debt must be wiped away. Forget about the poor decisions some students made that caused their massive debt. There should be financial advisors preventing students from accumulating such large debt loads.
If a degree will land a $25,000 job, but the person wants to go to a school that costs $100k per year, maybe the person should go to a school that costs less.

JG is way too young to be the guy in the OP. I looked him up and it says he graduated high school in 2014.
