What is happening to this board? I don’t want to be uplifted with positive stories. Where will I find the cancer sadness, death, and pit bull destruction?

really shows what we are capable of as a species
Ya understand we lived before the Romans built aqueducts too right?
fricking deer and hogs live in harsher, more unmedicated conditions than humans do, it's called surviving.
Glad they lived, but not shocked, because they weren't western wussies. Almost anyone that has chickens in Costa Rica, Roatan, etc., probably could have had a decent chance at this. Seriously, there are people hiking from Venezuela to El Paso with kids.

He needs to see the little red cups of hot chocolate in their hands, like in the movies, to believe it.

have no clue how a 13 year old managed to keep an infant alive in those conditions. truly crazy
Tribal society, so a 13 year old is a fully functional adult.
Also knows the terrain. The baby doesn't have formula or Gerber. They just foraged for what they were already eating every day.

Those 13 yo are a lot different than American teenagers.

Yep. Anyone who has been to remote villages knows that daily childcare duty is mostly performed by older siblings around the age of 12-13 because the mother needs to focus her time on work tasks that require an adult.

The rescue photo posted.....
Looks like the kids are held hostage, thus the dark humor. Tired kids, rescuers holding up their chins because they are weak...
Whatever...
Then, of course, some idiot has to play the race card because it is 2023.

They ought to consult a map before starting their journey. I believe Brownsville is a few miles closer.

the rescuers had to go back to the crash site to get the 13 year old's Taylor Swift concert dress

How did they survive when the temperature/thermostat set above 78?

The 13 y old is an amazing sibling. Unfortunately it sounds like she will be taking care of them for the rest of their life.
