At some point, LSU is gonna lose this battle. But, it's more likely to happen between Mike's, not with a current one.

We discussed this last weekend. Ever notice how all the future Mike numbers (Mike VIII, Mike IX, etc.) are already on the enclosure? I was told that is a not so subtle indicator from the University big donors (who paid for the enclosure) that they expect there to be a live Tiger. Money talks.

I don’t see why it should so long as zoos remain legal. LSU gets tigers from overcrowded captive tiger enclosures. They don’t go hunt down wild ones. They’re providing a service to a lucky tiger, not just “using one for entertainment”

Mike has it better than basically every house pet. He basically won the lottery. If he could talk he'd say please keep feeding me all the food I want and never have to worry about anything killing me all the while having my own space to do what I want, which is sleep.

Even the brain dead writers at The Advocate know the difference between a tree hugging hippie “Free the tiger!” petition with no effect and a petition to form a new city which can only be signed by people in that area.
