I love my dog but if she ever bit a child like that, she would be gone.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said they do know who owns the dog and have a meeting scheduled with her. Information will be passed on to the district attorney’s office to determine if charges are warranted.

They fled the scene. Of course fricking charges are warranted.

...but they're nanny dogs! Here is a picture of my sweet pitty with flowers on his/her head.

A pit bull would never be considered a service dog as they are far too stupid.

A pit may be many things but I've never thought of them as stupid

It is my opinion that the owner of a pet, any pet, should be charged with the same crime that a human would have been charged with in each case

I completely agree, can we apply this to cat-owners when cats kill federally protected wildlife?

Maybe one day someone will explain to me why pit bulls are so hostile towards children. A lot of breeds are very understanding and gentle.

Pit Bulls were bred to be killers

Harris County ehh? I’ll save the sheriff’s office the trouble if they want me to ride over there and put one between its eyes. I’ll bill the owner for the gas and 9mm round later.

I truly wonder how low must your I.Q. be to own a pit bull.

Service animals can go indoors in restaurants? Gross.

It’s a personality disorder to want to own a dog breed that poses a much higher injury risk than others.

It’s financially suicidal for anyone with actual money.

Most homeowner insurance policies refuse to cover any claims involving any of a list of dogs with Pits and the closely related breeds at the top of the list.

Of course, most people with pits don’t appear to have money anyway unless they are Michael Vick.

Our temporary apartment complex allows "service dogs" and one is a pit that has attacked multiple times. There should be multiple complaints on file and one from me via email explaining their liability. Hopefully i am close to my G20 if it happens and they have sufficient insurance.

I'll allow it.

A vest doesn't mean service dog. My dog wears a vest, but it is because her head is too small for a regular collar and she will slip it easy. She is not a service dog, but a lot of people confuse her as such because of the vest. People need to stop associating vests with service animals.

Business owners need to learn you can ask two questions of real service dog owners without being in violation of the ADA unless the task is obvious, like a seeing eye dog.

1. Is the animal required because of a disability?

2. What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?

Emotional support animals or psychiatric animals are not service animals and do not have ADA protections in businesses.

Can’t stand pit Bull owners, but the gofundme goes a little far IMO. $100k goal, titled “Justice for Ronin”, talks of legal fees.

Yep. Especially when you can get a personal injury lawyer on contingency fee basis.

The ADA requires every business owner to allow service animals as long as the animal meets the requirements of the ADA.

Why do restaurants allow any dog inside (unless it's a true service dog for the blind).
