Congratulations!
I've been off the cigs for 15 years. Still don't know why I picked them up so many years ago.

congrats on not being trashy anymore
on a serious note...good job. quitting dip/cigarettes was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Honest question: Do you begin to crave it less at some point or are you always thinking about it?
I've been a smoker 5 years and don't know how I would handle the constant cravings.

You were smoking 57 or so cigarettes a day?

Easily.

I tried quiting a couple times, never stuck.
Then one day I woke up, and every second since, stopped having cravings. 14 months smoke free now.

I love to celebrate milestones like this with a delicious refreshing cigarette

How’d you do it?
Coworker of mine just started eating. Like gained 20 lbs in no time. Not healthy eating. We’re talking little debbies, twinkies, really anything he could grab when a craving struck him.

Yes. I don't have cravings at all anymore. Probably been about 6-7 years for me. Occasionally, I'll think about it though.

Man I love these smelly nasty mf'ers, but know I need to quit. Congrats to your success. No small feat at all!

good for you. smoking is pretty terrible all the way around. both of my parents smoke and I am sure will cost many years of their life.

hard to tell you everything, but the most important thing that got the ball rolling was the idea of being a better dad to my children and being able to be around for all the important things in their life.
I put a little picture of my kids at my desk, in my wallet, and in the visor of my vehicle. Quitting wasn’t easy, but having a constant reminder of why I was quitting made it easier. Best thing I ever did. When you are smoking, you have no idea how bad you really feel until you quit.

A month for me. Chantix. I don't smoke anymore, but the dreams are fricking entertaining.
This morning, I was counting change for the mob. They had me in like a Scrooge McDuck vault with coins every year and a high speed counter just counting away.
I have no idea why the mob had a Scrooge McDuck vault full of loose change or why I was counting it. The dream was all about the mechanics of counting change. For the mob.
