And name a wartime sauce that has EVER been right in this board…….ill wait.

Exactly! Wartime sauces aren’t exactly hitting for average in the last few searches.
I can get behind Tommy H’s reporting. Sensible with no hint of message board glory hunting. Keep it up TH! :geauxtigers:
Heyyyyy Lane, come sample 700 unique versions of cold chicken fingers in the grove sometime.

He’s definitely staying.
Whoa there Ol' Chancellor. Give us some time to get our act together like the poised and cerebral Alabama fans!

LSU is embarrassing the frick out of themselves

Hey Chad. Why don't you quit being a whiny, miserable bitch? Every fricking post is like reading Karen from the HOA complaining about Christmas decorations. You do realize this is a message board and not press releases from LSU, right, Chad?
Heard the guy speak and take questions in a small group. Not a Tulane function, and he was as candid as he could be. Everyone on this board would like the shite out of this guy. You could immediately see how he'd appeal to kids. He's got the intensity you look for, but it's easy to see how he'd use it to break a kid down to build him up a-la Saban (lost art in coaching). He's from the South and gets football down here. People compare him to Napier, but he comes off as way more dynamic. IMO he'd kill it at LSU

Also, the "can't hire a guy from Tulane" talk is shortsighted and dumb.

No idea what level of interest LSU would have in Sheppard, but I do think he's an interesting guy to consider. He'd no doubt recruit, and it seems his leadership skills are highly respected for such a young coordinator. Dan Cambpell's opinion has to mean something.

Always remember the sound bite of him after the 2010 Ala game when he gave a game ball to Miles and said something along the lines of, "we don't give a shite what everyone says about you". Paraphrasing it, but our locker room exploded after he said it. Was the moment a lot of us realized kids would run thru brick walls for Miles. I could handle a little more of that in our program. The dude bleeds P&G and after Kelly, that has to be a factor.

I hear ya, but from your own 25? With an OU offense struggling to move the ball? You're up 2 scores on the road and just give them a short field to get back in the game. It worked out, but at the time, it seemed off the rails crazy.

I'm torn on Kiffen. The best play caller in the country, but I keep replaying in my mind him going for it on 4th down on his own 25, up 12 in the 3rd quarter, this past Saturday. OM didn't convert, but His Defense got a stop and bailed him out. If OU scores there and goes on to win that game, Kiffen is getting killed this week by media and his own fans. It was a seriously reckless decision in a huge spot, but it ended up working out and got buried. Like being aggressive, but that was insane.

In a search where all must be considered and no suggestion should be considered dumb, this is dumb.
Great memories of this game as a kid, sitting in the S End Zone. The contrast of colors on the field for this game and Ala always stood out to me. Both games were always later in the season when the weather had finally turned, and it just felt, smelled, and looked like college football should.

Fast forward to the mid-90s. Left the DEKE house in BR in a '69 Cadillac that seemed 90' long. We'd written on the back windshield: "Ole Miss Plays Football Like Old People frick" and we took off down I-55 with a car full of booze and window flags flying. The folks in the grove loved us!

Great times and always one of my favorite games!
Whole bunch of big buildings in the desert were built from 18-21-year-olds playing down to their competition in spot games. La Tech is good enough to take advantage of a flat team. Call it coaching or whatever you want, but there haven't been many teams that avoid a letdown at some point in the season.

Also, easy to get fired up this year because we seemingly have a very good defense. Those typically don't have off days like good offenses can have, and they travel well.

Was the up-and-comer in the 80's before English Turn. Great Front 9. Back 9 is a little more mundane. Glad to hear the greens were good when you played it. Easy to root for Timberlane. Head pro gives the golf course to the local HS girls teams for their matches on Mon afternoons in the Spring. That's quite a good deed for a daily fee course these days!

Thought Burnt Pine was good. Lots of forced carries and target golf, but what course in the panhandle doesn't have that? It was in great shape and way less crowded. Liked it more than anything else around Destin.

All good advice....Also may be hanging back too much w the Driver. Easy to do when overswinging or trying to help it launch. Get weight to your left side on downswing.

Best club fitter/builder in the area. Has a great studio and is a good dude. Used to work in a tour van, so you're getting a talented and informed guy. Also a really good guy and light years ahead of the Club Champion operation!
