That had to be some of the most racist legislation to ever come out of that city. Basically screaming at white people to not joining the force.

By some Mexican chick I was hooking up with after that Jason Boland concert. Only took one thing, but it was worth $6500

I want to print that and staple it to every one of those community session signs he has everywhere.

False. New Orleans is not as big as it once was. It has more cops per capita than most cities. Double or triple in some cases. Don't let facts get in the way though.

It's probably going to take someone robbing Mitch's uptown home for him to wake up, but I doubt that would faze him.

So it's just ineptness by leadership?

Even 1 vs 3 CC'ing, it would be a stupid move to engage them....unless you were protecting your own, and would do so knowing that there would probably be serious casualties

NOLA is not learning from Baltimore's leadership. You're not allowing those who wish to destroy to have enough space to do so.

People don't realize how few cars there were. One morning last week, there was a 6 hour period where there were three total units in the 3rd district. One Lieutenant, one sergeant (who had converted himself to a street unit), and one officer in a car. 48 calls backlogged, many of them code 2's. This is routine now.

This has nothing to do with having an adequate number of law enforcement. The police department has shrunk like 25-30% just in the last few years

Of course not.. Seriously, crime is the only issue the administration should be focused on right now. Maybe this can be a LA Pizza Kitchen type event.

What was this incident?

Ed, you CC in Nola with no issues?

My impression was that NOPD frowned on anyone having a weapon, legal or not.

So?

Last year we were somewhere between 9th and 3rd in murder rate in the US, and it's gotten worse this year. Do you really think that we need the same number of police per capita as the likes of Seattle, Portland, NYC, Austin, etc...?

I hate when people say this. First off the population is different. If a population and tourist are more deviant in a particular area than the per capita thing is shite. Also, many large cities have areas where crime stays. It is spreading in NO. Is it leadership? Possible. However, its not like the cops aren't doing other calls. I don't have the solution but I hate when people use the per capita BS. That means nothing if crime is not going down. It might be leadership for all I know, but per capita is BS. Who cares what other cities have and who cares what there per capita is.

Not concealed but I've open carried a few times. I keep a .45 in my truck and have holstered it a few times at night when going into gas stations or sketchy spots. I would never carry in the quarter or walking along canal (school/no gun zones all over).

If a cop was to stop me the times I've done it, he/she would likely have no issue.
