Vancouver is the shiznit- I was also there in June for a couple of weeks. I’m putting together 6 million for a 1250 sqft condo as we speak. If I find another 585k I get a parking spot.

More than half those cities are frozen over for nearly half the year. What are they considering 'livable'?

Any city that's frozen solid for more than 2 months should be automatically disqualified. Unless it's a list of the most livable cities for polar bears and penguins.

Vancouver is so overrated to live it is ridiculous. Phenomenal to visit I agree.

Miserable drizzle weather, barely a highway to be found so getting around sucks, expensive as hell, and the healthcare sucks.

Disclosure: lived there for 25 years. Wouldn’t go back to live.

Definitely liveable at that cost.

You could get any City you like on to that list just by adjusting the parameters

BUT, talk about a major homeless problem that are drug addicts

I was there this past July. This is what struck me the most. It was right near the tourist district too.

These homeless were different. I didn’t feel threatened by them the way you could in a ghetto or something...but the amount of mental illness associated with drug use was off the charts.

3 cities in Australia. Seem to never hear about terrorist attacks in Australia.

The worst thing about Australia, a native once told me, is the tall poppy syndrome.

Have an awesome day today!

Weird list. I've been to most of those. Would choose any of a dozen US cities over several on that list.

Yep, and head-to-head Seattle trumps Vancouver easily.

Same...and I think Austria is great...

But no way I live in Calgary over similar US cities like Salt Lake City, South Lake Tahoe, or Colorado Springs...
Much less Vancouver over Anchorage.

I haven't been to Australia, so my opinion is limited to what I've learned, but no way do they eclipse Savannah or Charleston on the east coast...or San Diego or Monterey on the west coast.

I'm sure gun crime is a heavily weighted factor.
