In 695 years, Japan will be left with only one child if its birthrate continues on its current trajectory

quote:

The forecast by Hiroshi Yoshida, a professor at Tohoku University’s Research Center for Aged Economy and Society, shows that by Jan. 5, 2720, the nation would have only one child age 14 and below.

Yoshida, who maintains a counter that provides an estimated date for when the number of children in the country is reduced to just one, has been releasing estimates every April since 2012.

The simulation is calculated using the annual rate of population decline among children, based on the difference between the number in April from the previous year and the current number.

The latest forecast, which assumes last April's 2.3% annual rate of decline, speeds up the clock by over 100 years compared with the prediction in 2023.

Japan's birthrate continues to experience a rapid decrease. The most recent data released by the health ministry shows the rate falling to 1.20 in 2023, the lowest ever. In Tokyo, the rate — which refers to the average number of children that women are expected to have in their lifetime — hit 0.99, making it the first city in the nation to have a rate below 1.

Good news is that at the current rate, the earth is going to destroy itself long before then.

With as much turmoil and uncertainty going on now, can anyone see us even making it to 2225?

I figure once Rosie from The Jetsons is widely available, birth rates should rise.

This reads like the articles about Global Warming 30 years ago that claimed the polar ice caps would be gone in 2012

This is all about globalists wanting to spread around low iq uneducated unskilled 'migrats' all over the world.

Oh no! They need hordes of Africans STAT!!

That's all this bullshite is. It's what they've been telling Euros for decades - right after telling them that they are making too many babies and are destroying the planet.

I think that's been done before in some other country that I can't recall the name of.....

They'll have those Africans in financial slavery for decades.

I'm more than happy to take a few trips to Japan and do my part to stop the declining population trend. They'd have to be happy with my white boy genetics and great hair style.

They’ve created a thriving civilization on an island in the Pacific Ocean, I think they’ll be fine.

On the other hand, if someone could explain what in the name of animal husbandry is going on in this picture?

Are those season ticket holders or did they just happen to pop-in for the daily matinee?
