What you did there....

I don’t understand why certain races are more entitled to federal tax dollars dollars than other races.

So which is it, Trump & COVID's fault, or the fault of the population group that is apparently routinely undercounted?

Actually people were concerned about an undercount back then when the prior administration moved up the deadline to complete the survey. It was initially October 31 at that time but was moved to about a month earlier than that.

double-counting some, wrongly including others and missing others entirely

But nobody had a problem with this exact scenario in the 2020 election

Federal dollars have always been tied to a population count, so when areas are counted less than others, then they have lesser access to the dollars.

They should take a census to see who was really under counted in the census.

The “leading expert” quoted in the op worked on the Obama transition team. Probably an extremely unbiased source of estimates.

Nope. What your article says is "Biden's politicized federal government is making things up again." See below.

quote:

The estimates released on Thursday — in essence, a statistical adjustment of totals made public last year — are based on an examination of federal records and an extensive survey in which the bureau interviewed residents in some 10,000 census blocks — the smallest unit used in census tabulations. Bureau experts then compared their answers to the actual census results for those blocks.

I love how they think the estimates are more accurate than the actual count...ok, then why the frick even do the census and just use your estimates?
