I wish... If you want to buy American made, get a Camry...sad but barely 50% of the Chevy Silverado is US made....a couple of years ago Forbes had to pull Ford's F-150 "US Made" label that requires 75% minimum of an auto's parts / assembly be done here. BMW models have become more an American made car than many of the US big 3's cars that are now contracted out of country. The Vette, however, is the one Chevy that is mostly US made...a bit ironic we still get the Tremec transmissions from Mexico.

Get back to me when you can pick up that Porsche for under 250k new off the showroom floor. and remember, this is the base model corvette.

Unless you had a special relationship with PNA you weren't buying one new period and none sold for only $250k.

That is beside the point because you are missing my point there. The C8 is not going to be competing directly with the true exotics and I maintain my assertion that it is more a poor man's exotic than a rich man's toy. I know this the numbers were from the base car, I mentioned it before anyone in the thread.

I am just disappointed that the blank sheet MR chassis car is giving up some serious chunks of time to some other benchmarks. I expected it to be 4-5 seconds a lap faster on the 'Ring.

That’ll make a nice run around town car for me for when I don’t want to put miles on the McLaren

I'm curious why you insist on using "MR" when no one else does.

I have never seen that in any publication. Online or print.

Frankly, most of your automotive related posts here come across as pretentious and full of shite.

They kinda got carried away with the current flat bottom trend and that's the largest return to center indicator (tape stripe) on any wheel I've ever seen, but the outside looks pretty dang good.

I use it because it is the correct abbreviation for a mid-engine rear-drive chassis layout.

"The mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout (abbreviated as MR layout)"

Wiki

If you have never run across it your car knowledge is low enough I could care less about your opinion of my car knowledge.
