I don't get the love for these things. They are horribly ugly to me. But damn near every lawyer or accountant wanna be poser outdoorsman I know drives one from their suburb to the office.
They are one of the most capable off road vehicles on the planet and they can last for 300,000 miles.
Land Cruisers own the offroading / tough use market internationally.

In my opinion there are two types of people that own Land Cruisers, rich guy that are smarter than buying a Land Rover and others that just like a tough 4wd.

How cool was the land cruiser circa 1996? Man, that was a truly idiosyncratic model.

They are all over the place in the new money hoods in Alabama. Usually with a 30A sticker on them.

Not saying you are wrong. Just saying the guy daily commuting from Mountain Brook to downtown Birmingham doesn't need this capability.

They conquered the world like no other vehicle, and its not even close.
I just sold one that I put 580,000 miles on. Changed the oil every 10k and only changed the brake pads. Bulletproof.

Tough cruiser that was made until 1997 but had head gasket problems. I owned a few and was lucky to never have had one blow.
