Reports are that there was 1,000 people at a Homecoming reunion after a football game that happened 24 hours ago.
1,000 people in a town that has 3,000 people. The local police were treating this as a celebration party of some sort. He's kinda of an awwshucks Mayberry sheriff. This is a rural area. I don't understand it.

An aside. Driving back from the UGA/Vanderbilt game on Saturday, the town of Monticello was having teens wearing formal wear and carrying flowers crossing the street into the square. Probably homecoming. I like small towns.
