He loved my husband Jason McAnally fiercely, like a brother, but also as his pastor. He came to our church for many years and we lovingly referred to him as the Origins bouncer, if ever there were a need. ?? We never doubted his love for us. He was fiercely loyal and believed in what we were trying to do and we always felt that and appreciated the rarity of that kind of unwavering friendship. He was more like family.
I remember the day so vividly that he and Alison Welch Dossett came over to our Robins St. house to tell us they were having twin girls. Those girls are so loved and Tedd so obviously adored them. My heart breaks over and over again that their daddy, our friend, is no longer here with us.
Tedd had the kind of personality that ensures his place in your heart forever. There are few people I can readily recall the exact sound of their laugh, but Tedd’s laugh had such a distinction, that I can hear it exactly as it was in my mind right now, as if he is present with me and discussing a Friend’s episode that he particularly loved.
The pain of this loss feels so deep and more personal than any loss I’ve experienced before. And I know my pain pales in comparison to the heartbreak his family and other close friends are feeling. Please pray for his family, especially his precious girls. Pray for peace and comfort to rest over us all as we try to process this great loss.

It's got to be hard on his friends and family as well. Not only are they mourning his death, but having to deal with the fact that he murdered someone. It seems to me that he had two sides and that he hid the darker side from many people. I'd be willing to bet there was also some recent drug use that gave him the courage to go through with this.

That pastor’s wife or whatever is being P.C. but it’s such bs. I’m sorry but from what I hear, he was the scourge of humanity around Tupelo and was seen as a slug. He got booted by those twins mother because he became verbally and physically abusive at times (see story some gay dude said where she dumped this guy for attempting to use a gun barrel on her, by the way he wanted it up his duke...ps for clarity, the official story came from her to my wife and my wife has a big mouth so: story was that he wanted her to use it on him not the other way around) anyways. He’s a bad person and killed a person with 5 children and a wife. His own death is a favor to the world and the ones he left behind. I’d be willing to bet that the mother of his kids is celebrating from how she told my wife that he continually talked to her and the lies he told people around town about her. I’m happy for the people “in his life” that he’s no longer a burden or harming them.
