This further confirms that it was a good decision to depart from Gwinnett County to a more rural setting. The whole of Gwinnett is pretty much lost at this point.

Didn't read the story but on WSB last night, they were talking to Loganville PD about it, which would put this in Walton, not Gwinnett.
But hell, you're right, Gwinnett is lost. The school board is now meeting for a second time this week to vote on firing the superintendent and giving him a massive buyout or just letting his contract lapse in a year.

30 years ago Loganville was RURAL. Like people in lawrenceville/snellville/duluth/etc metro-atlanta cities used to look at loganville like a cow pasture that was several decades behind the times. If you were tired of the big city life of one of the above suburbs you could go to loganville to be "in the country".
Of course as more and more foreigners have moved into atlanta and the immeidate surroundings, people continue to flee ever outward. Now loganville is just as shitty and trashy as anywhere else in metro atl.

My older brother is in poor health. He's been in and out of several hospitals here in Bham. The takeaway: you don't want to be in the hospital dependent on the average healthcare worker for your life/death. Everyone should be doing everything possible to avoid the hospital.
