I have to know the race of the girl before I give an opinion on this...

You've ruled out the possibility that lack of heavy-handed policing is a contributing factor to the overall violence of those places?

You talking "reported" killings or "actual" killings by police?

Can anyone explain why police shootings in a country of 350,000,000 people are constantly BREAKING NEWS? Newsflash: they occur daily, and always have.

I'm more curious why a country with 1,000,000 police officers, all of whom are on a mission to kill black folks because there's no punishment according to BLM, isn't seeing 1,000,000 black folks shot and killed per day.

So you’re saying those countries are “infinitely more dangerous” than the U.S.?

The same could be said of the statistics of the US when they rule shootings like Philand Castille and Daniel Shaver justified shootings.

There are thousands of bar fights around the country every weekend. The patrons are drunk, belligerent, and sometimes have weapons, yet security and bouncers rarely ever kill anyone.

People don't have a problem with reasonable justified shootings. Shooting a citizen should be a last resort after options are exhausted.

Cops seem to shoot as the first and only option sometimes.

No not really, trying to compare the accuracy of statistics coming from Mexico, Colombia and Pakistan to the US is just plain dumb.

China and India are obviously the only two countries with over a billion people.

The United States government kills its citizens at a rate closer to what you would see in a 3rd world, South or Central American country.

Columbia, Mexico, Pakistan are all infinitely more dangerous than the states yet they have a much lower rate of killings by police when adjusted for population.

Bouncers can't take you to jail for outstanding warrants.

I do agree that lethal force should be an absolute last resort, used sparingly and only when an officer’s own life or another person’s life is in danger.

I disagree that the United States has a policing problem. I believe, overall, we have one of the finest and most efficient/reliable policing systems in the world.

Just read that the girl that had the knife was defending herself, was on her property, and was the one that called the police.

Curious if Hazel Bryant was there when the shooting occurred

quote:

Hazel Bryant told The Dispatch that she is the aunt of the 15-year-old girl who was shot. The girl lived in a foster home there on Legion Lane and got into an altercation with someone else at the home, she said.

Bryant said her niece had a knife, but maintained that the girl dropped the knife before she was shot multiple times by a police officer.

Well, that will be a key detail that should be easily determined by the body cam footage.

Because they don't occur daily in countries with over a billion in population.

In civilized countries its a very rare occurrence.

The fact you think it's normal for government agents to kill 1000+ citizens every year is sad honestly.

It's common place in the "land of the free" though.
Funny, I don’t know a single person that’s been shot or killed by the police.

But then again, I don’t associate with people that pull guns or knives on police officers or violently resist arrest.

Weird how that works huh.

‘Civilized’ countries like India? Where they put women and girls in a shed for having their period.

Wow.

Yep

They need to release this ASAP to avoid further problems. Although she could have been trying to stab the cop or other party and it still wouldn’t matter.

The tape won’t matter. The narrative has been set. You are a racist.
