So, the report says that the girl had a knife and was trying to stab someone. I kinda think someone trying to stab another person should be stopped at all costs. That's just me tho.

The problem is that the we actually want a polite, civil, and law abiding society. We should not have to prevent officers from preserving those things.
Are some cops in some instances bad actors? Of course. There’s a million cops in this country—there is a TON of bad apples in any population that size. But letting the outliers define how society regulates and/or treats the police is not only counterproductive, but downright stupid.

Have ever lived anywhere else? No offense, but the American exceptionalism mentality is the reason the country has gone to shite.
I get being patriotic and not talking shite about your country to outsiders, but amongst ourselves we have to be realistic. This country is a shell of its former self.
The police state is real.
When police cuff and arrest citizens for eating breakfast sandwiches on subway platforms, or you get pulled over and your vehicle searched for hanging pinecone airfreshners its a police state.
When you can't drive with more than a couple thousand dollars in cash in your car without it being seized under civil asset forfeiture laws I would disagree.
You do know we have the lowest standards for becoming police out of every OECD country. The least amount or required education and shortest training.
We also have by far the fattest and unathletic police force in the world. Very few officers have any physical prowess and can't command respect because they are fat. Nobody respects fat people because they don't respect themselves. Way too many women officers in the field as well.
They also have very little respect for the public they serve and some have outright contempt.

I would add... they’ve taken something that is worthy of discussion (our police and possible overuse of deadly force) and turned it into a race war. IMO it has nothing to do with race.
So now, not only do we have the original issue ... possible excessive use of force by police and how to address that ... now we have another, arguably bigger, issue: citizens polarized by manufactured race relations.
Are we in a better place? I would argue that the protests and forced conversations about race, and inevitable and expected battle lines drawn due to that manufactured conversation, have made us worse as a society.

Then you don't understand law enforcement. If lethal force is only used to protect themselves, they would never leave the office. Defense of others is a major reason for use of deadly force. They defend people that can't defend themselves.

Undoubtedly so. Our entire society is spinning in circles around an issue that doesn’t actually exist in day to day life for 99.9% of Americans

His evidence (pretending that he will actually produce any) would likely be government issued reports from those countries on strictly police killings. As if such countries accurately report those things, or as if those countries don’t routinely slaughter ethnic and political dissidents under the radar en masse

I’m totally fine if a LEO uses deadly force to protect someone else’s life. I wasn’t thinking through every possible scenario and that was a mistake/oversight on my part to not include that as a justifiable reason to kill.
