I just picked up a big to-go order in Denham Springs at Geisha. The wait for a table is 1-2 hours and while I was there 2 parties came in, put their name on the list and said 'no problem it's for a great cause' when told about the wait! Hopefully all the restaurants in Baton Rouge are having a great turnout tonight!

We arrived at Sammy's at 5:30 and the place was already nearly full. Waitress said they've been slammed all day.

off of the ventilator!! So there is some amount of brain function, great news there!!... worried about the extent of brain damage tho... still heavily sedated

Sadly, the squeezing of the hand story isn't true.

Prayers needed!!

ArrogantCorndog I am elated to hear this! I don't remember ever praying so hard for someone I don't know except maybe 9/11. Baby steps ... it's all in God's hands. Many prayers continue for Nick and his family but also for those taking care of him!!

Your update is much better than the update that I heard. Granted, I did not hear this directly from his family, so this is very welcome news!

It's a small step in the right direction but there is still so much unknown at this point... also his stomach surgery went very well so that will hopefully be a non issue when it fully heals...

That's all I know at this point... I will post updates as I get them

I tried to go to city cafe and no parking spots. Went to portobello by the albertsons and it was 1.5 hour wait which I couldn't do with young kids. Ended up at rice and roux which was really busy but no wait.

His Dad graduated from DSHS in 1971
There is a DSHS class of 71 FB page & a lady is posting updates
Here is what was posted earlier today (basically same as already posted)

Just received this update from Ann clement Kemp on Nick, James and Mary Tullier's son. Please continue to pray for all.

Update from James Tullier.
That was a quick surgery. Doctor just told us it went well. This was on his abdomen. Doctor told us it'll happen again Wed. We're trying to figure out how many times they've worked on this area. Main thing is continued prayers. Thank you all for praying for Nick. I wish I had words to tell you how deeply our appreciation goes...

If he passed spontaneous breathing trials then that is huge. A co worker gave me one of these this afternoon. Keep the prayers coming folks. They are much needed.

Sold another 3000 raffle tickets at $10 a pop.

So, they raised about 125-128k today.

Pretty strong... It was insane out there.

A friend who is following his dad's fb page for nicks progress said that the father messaged her in reply to her message and he is NOT off of the ventilator. Confusing to say the least.

I'm just glad that he is still here and fighting and that his family can be with him at times at least.
