11 year old needs an Out Field Glove with H or Trap web.

I went to marucci to get guidance and help and that was a big fat ZERO. Those kids don't know anything but the register.

Dicks had a very limited option

I am struggling with knowing what style particularly with Marucci to get for hand size etc.

Anyone with older kids whom have done this already have suggestions?

Does it matter? He ain’t going to the show, baw. While you’re at it, he doesn’t need a sliding mitt either.

He’s 11. Just get him a 12 inch Rawlings and call it a day

11 year old has a nearly adult hand size. H web vs trap is a matter of preference. Last years capitols are on sale for 170 on their website which is a great deal for maruccis top end glove. Thats far cheaper than their cypress series which is a slight step down in quality.

That or get an a2000, heart of the hide, or ssk z7.

This. And don’t get an H web for outfield.

Personally, I prefer the looks of the H-Web. I'd maybe get him a size larger than what he needs, let him "grow into" it...

Just get him in the weight room so he can hold this baby up, and let the glove do the rest of the work for him

Even that really doesn't matter at 11 years old.

This isn't an overthink situation. A decent $75-$150 (if that) will be fine for an 11 year old

My son used a Marucci Acadia series 12 inch for two years before graduating to a Rawlings. I think they are about $120 now but held up fine and he used it for outfield and 3rd base. If he was playing travel ball year round I would look into the Rawlings R9 with the contour fit as it is easy to adjust the wrist as they grow. The 12” Acadia comes in a H web.

Check out Sidelineswap. You can usually find a pretty nice glove in your price ranger there.

Marucci is a garbage company that sell only decent products. Don't waste your time on that brand. Go buy him a solid leather 12" closed basket glove. It will last him til he has kids.

Sammy Sosa's first glove was a fricking milk carton. Stop overthinking it.

Just take him and have him pick what’s comfortable.

He is 11. You don’t need the top of the line.

go to bradley gloves website. Make sure you get appropriate size but Very affordable good gloves that are made for youth ball players. youth hand stalls. My kid had his last for nearly 3-4 years.

pretty much this or any of these from better baseball will work. 12" works good for outfield for that age but he will need a 12.5" at 13 so keep that in mind

Bradley gloves

They are made for kids (hand size and easy braking in) but with quality. There is no comparison I promise

Don't overthink this. He's 11. Go to Dicks or Academy and let him try 5 or 6 to see how they feel. Get the one that feels the best and that doesn't cost the most.
