Since stories of the 17 year old (sadly and despite his dad asking otherwise) are making the rounds this needs to be shared to show that both are complete statistical outliers.

quote:

A 101-year-old Italian man has been released from the hospital after recovering from COVID-19, according to a CNN report.

The man was admitted to a hospital in northeastern Italy last week after testing positive for the virus and left the hospital on Thursday, according to Gloria Lisi, the deputy mayor of Rimini, Italy.

Lisi said the recovery of the man, only known as "Mr. P," is "truly extraordinary" and provided "hope for the future."

Mr. P was born in 1919 amid the Spanish flu outbreak, where an estimated 30 million to 50 million people died due to the illness.

"The family brought [Mr. P.] home yesterday evening," Lisi said, affirming that his story teaches that "even at 101 years the future is not written."

Hope the media talks about this more, give people some hope instead of the doom and gloom.

wonder if there’s any possible connection. Like if he was exposed to the Spanish flu and his body created some sort of antibodies that helped him fight off the rona

It's not his blood, it's his wine. We gotta find those grapes.

Shame on the media for trying to inform people to take the coronavirus serious. Yes, most people will recover from it, but by keeping people informed hopefully even less will die from it.

Is the 17 year old a statistical outlier if he never showed symptoms and it was in fact heart failure per his father? I don't think it is. Now a 101 year old recovering is clearly an outlier.

I have a feeling the true cause for the 17 year old will not be shared widely because it's a great scare tactic for the media.
