We were out of electricity for 3 days in 7 degree temps, then the rolling blackouts.

Yep. Both of my brothers live south of Ft. Worth, and my daughter lives in Roanoke. You guys suffered much worse than us, although my son in OKC was out of power for several days, but that was not the norm for everyone.

Ferndale Arkansas which is just to the west of Little Rock.

Started off as light sleet and freezing rain at 6:00 pm and transitioned to all snow about 10:30 pm. Snowed all night…about 4” on the ground now. The precipitation has now changed to heavy sleet about 7:15 am this morning.

Fire lit, hot cup of coffee, eggs and fresh biscuits while cooking up a 12 team college basketball parlay with snow falling.

Beautiful morning so long as we don't lose power

It’s cold as shite outside. Here in Alexander, AR, it snowed over night and like others have said it’s now sleeting.

Probably try to shovel the parents driveway and throw out more ice melt.

I hope the change from snow to sleet isn’t a sign of warm air coming in aloft and we change to freezing rain.

I keep watching DFW on flightradar and surprisingly see a good amount of planes landing, but nothing has taken off yet. Flightradar. Your confirmation of heavy sleet tells me why nothing has left yet...

The first flight that tried getting out went back to a gate after de-icing. The second one (a 6am to Miami) has been de-icing since about 630am LINK

Parents house is on the border of Pulaski and saline county line. Officially Little Rock, but have an Alexander mailing address.

In an easier description, about a mile south of the 30/430 interchange

Looks like most of it is going to stay south of us. Lubbuck probably going to have a rough go of it.

Does early radar tell us anything??
Looks like the whole system is over performing on the cold and snowy side.

They missed on the temps for damn sure. Every update the temps trend downward.
