I was supposed to go to Gatlinburg this weekend but I pushed it back til next weekend. Hope it works out

Duke. That’s the best explanation anyone has given for LR. If you feel up to it, please post here and lmk if you think things are trending towards ice for LR. This board/yall are always way ahead of everyone else to report.

When can see start talking about next weekend?

God bless HEB. What a business

This one is interesting. So Im watching.
For LR, I can explain what Im looking for (like I did previous) but cant really answer the question without a weather balloon. Good news though, NWS Little Rock sends up multiple ones a day.
Modeling wise, the GFS remains a little too far south. The Euro overdoes freezing rain vs sleet. Id split the difference too and go for a big sleet forecast with an ending transition to a little snow.
But wont really know until its starting up.

"Nobody cares about next weekend"
I do. I escaped this weekend. Feel for you folks who didn't.

I can't figure out what we have in store for us in Tennsippibama, here's praying the power stays on that's about all I ask for

was March of 1993. I wasn't in MS, but we were without power for a week. Some went a lot longer.
No it was a bad one here February 1994.
I remember it. We had telephone poles and transformers laying in the catfish ponds for two months before crews showed up to fix it.

In March 1994, we went to Gatlinburg and got snowed in for 3 days.

One thing I enjoy about being in an alpine climate, dont got to worry about this freezing rain shite.
Mnt should get 8-15". The condo like 4-8".
Im intending to commute across the continental divide a few times during the storm.
BC it isnt fricking icy nonsense. Cant drive on ice. Knocks out power. Plus, cold yall aint used to.
Take the cold after this serious. Yall aint built (infrastructure and you got no tolerances) for the cold that follows without good layers or a means to heat your space.

That's my biggest concern right now, how high that freezing line rides up. I think we might get away with minimal but we're going to have a shite ton of snow with it.

We moved to the land of 12-18 fluffy inches so we are only stuck until the county plows the roads.
