I'm thinking the same. Too many side roads are still completely iced up. Any shady spot it isn't melting. And as soon as it gets dark it hardens again.

I thought 80-90% of the ice would be gone by today. We haven't even crossed the 50% mark yet.

Um...everywhere

UTVs excel in shite conditions.

Storm cleanup and bad roads, nowhere you can't go.

In DFW area here. I shoveled my driveway with my son this afternoon. We are only house on street with a fully shoveled driveway.

You do what you've gotta do when the store runs out of snow shovels.

Anyone in Mississippi that needs HTS to come feed? We thought we had a place at Oxford University Methodist Church but they now say there are too many power lines for us to get to the church.

We can do 600-1000 meals twice a day.

Depending on how far south the next lobe of Canadian air slides, Saturday Sunday and Monday are forecast to be single digit cold and highs below 32F.
Those are Knoxville predictions ( Up on the plateau and in the Smokies and in snow covered Kentucky, they are predicting colder and windier. )

Wind chill is getting a lot of play, more than usual which is often too much. But today's ten to fifteen mph sustained winds were misery even with sunshine.

I was thinking about your service today. An engineer-friend's city in Belzoni, MS got hard-hit, but it looks like they are OK.

God Bless you for your service.

Ripley, MS in Tippah county is probably in worse shape than Oxford if you're looking to help.

I call that the "bastard wind". It blows only out of spite.

Man I stocked up for one person. And my friend ended up walking over and staying. Was glad for the company until he drank all my wine and smoked all my weed! Like I hung out in my room all day so I could get some alone time and he smoked almost all of my medical marijuana without me. And I’ve reached my limit of cabin fever

You spent your days with a man unkind, smoked your stuff and drank all your wine?

They pretty much have no power... Blue Mountain had no power or gas for a couple days. They finally got the gas fixed this morning, I think.
Ripley lost their main TVA transmission line, if I'm not mistaken.

Just had someone from the Lafayette county government call.

We will see what they want but if anyone has a contact in Ripley please let me know. Either reply to me or email me at
