Saints are 3-4 and 1 game back. Saints making the playoffs would mean no head coach change and possibly no other major changes. This division is weak of course and unfortunately even bad play could get you in. The organization needs major overhaul changes and making the playoffs would keep everything as status quo.

I will get downvotes but for the good of the Organization, we need major change. Loomis won’t make the necessary changes to a 8-9 or 9-8 team if we win the division.

We should hope we don’t make the playoffs so in 3 years we can make the playoffs

You're pretty optimistic.

As you should.

Worry about today, this game. Try to win, period. Anything else is loser thinking.

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Naw. Look what finishing strong last year did for the lions.

Its the nfl. The Bills are 4-3. Teams usually lose some games. The Bills will recover, but this is what watching NFL football is like.

Stop being wanna be GM’s. We are 3-4 and we were 2-0 hesded towards 3-0 before Carr got hurt.

Carr is getting shite on, but D Watson had the same injury and hasnt played since.

You have nothing to worry about. Zero chance this team even sniffs the playoffs.

After we drop the next two it will be more about positioning in thr top 5 of the draft

In football's weakest division. This is not a championiship contender. Furthermore, everyone else is already further ahead in their rebuild, which we have yet to start

considering the giants won a super bowl after a 9-7 regular season record and getting hot at the right time I will 100% take a division championship/home playoff game. eat shite

Well the Saints made the decision in the off season to keep it going knowing it was a weak Div. And that they had a playoff caliber Def and spent 150 mil on a qb. Whatever happens the next couple of years it will be kicking the can and trying to win now Whatever that takes.

HOF Coach. Borderline HOF QB and a DL with a HOF pass rusher and several other really good pass rushers.

See the difference?

One of the worst HCs of all time.

A middling QB no one likes.

No good pass rushers.

You're getting DVd by the same people who scream weekly that DA needs to get fired. One thing about this board is that it is consistently inconsistent.

Saints have a top 10 defense and currently a terrible offense. If they figured out a way to turn it around (which they absolutely have the weapons to do) there's no telling what could happen in the playoffs. I'm by no means saying it will happen but I will take a home playoff game in the Dome over not making the playoffs any day of the weak

losing doesn’t mean you’ll make a SB run 3 years from now. You should be trying every game to make the run

That is unlikely to happen with the way it is currently structured.

Gayle is a reluctant owner who never actually cared to own a football (and basketball) team. Thus, she has very little desire be involved in the operation. For all intents and purposes Lauscha and Loomis "own" the team. I think they have both shown they are not willing to accept that maybe a significant rebuild is in order. However, I do think they would be willing to make coaching changes if need be.

The Saints right now are like a successful family business where the founder retired and passed the business on to his kids. Unfortunately, like many family businesses, the kids aren't competent enough to keep the business operating at a high level. So someone will have to step in and bring in an outsider to manage the group.

If this year continues to go south Loomis is going to have to accept what he has in an old, expensive, team generating no ROI. Previously the Saints could be aggressive (some might say reckless) in the draft because they had the QB position set. That's not the case anymore.
