IMO it’s when Jameis tore his ACL against the Bucs.

Was just going to say this. 2021 had some wacky bullshite go against us between that play and the two ridiculous covid games against Miami and Buffalo. It has been downhill since. That team would have been a playoff lock if even one of those three things don’t happen. Didn’t help ourselves with the giant chokes against the Giants and Falcons at home though.

2022 draft

Coming off 9-8 season, this was the first draft without both Brees and CSP. Not only did they trade valuable draft capital, the bungled the picks. This should have been the beginning of the reset, not going “all in” with Dennis Allen at the helm.

The saints had one brief decade of relevance. Truth is we belong at the bottom. That is our norm. The way the nfl is structured, every team will have periods of success but overall this is a small market loser franchise and shite ownership. And the people of New Orleans have such low standards for success that there will never be enough pressure put on ownership to make progress.

Officially in The off-season going into 2022. Hiring Dennis Allen & the Olave draft pick trade.

somewhere around the NOCALL.

Drews arm wasnt great and he couldnt throw it further than 20 yards, but was still very quick and accurate.

After the NOCALL the entire saints team looked defeated. They got on the doorstep of another SB, but couldnt make it happen.

Peyton saw the handwriting on the wall and made plans to move on. He saw the mismanagement st the top.

I'm quite sure you are correct.

You deserve to be bottom.

Losing Sean Payton, and getting Dennis Allen instead.

Went from a very good coach to one of the worst in NFL history statistically.

When Dennis Allen chose to beg Pete Carmichael to be OC instead of trying to hire an up and coming offensive coach as OC.

Brees has to be the unluckiest playoff QB in Saints history. He would rake big numbers up almost always put Saints in position where they SHOULD'VE won and some miracle always happened. I'm pretty sure the Saints have at least 3 legendary last minute wins on them in Payton's era in the playoffs and none of them were Brees fault.

Also, he should've been to at least 1 more SB if the NFL didn't steal the Rams game from them. Probably would've won that game too considering the opponent.

Saints v. Tampa Bay in 2021. Payton had Jameis playing in control. Saints were 5-2. Winston scrambles, tackled by Devin White and blows out his knee. Then the subsequent weeks the injuries decimate. Saints limp to 8-9 with a revolving door of QBs
