Very good read and its a great idea to let the public own the team, but other owners would piss their pants

The Mannings would be our best option for the team to be competitive and remain in New Orleans. Archie, Peyton and Eli pooling their money and buying the Saints from the Benson family is our best hope. Anything else would be a gamble.

You really think between the three of them they have enough money to buy an NFL team?

Peyton is worth 400 million
Eli worth 100 million
Archie worth 10.

I could see the possibility of them putting together an ownership team with some outside investors, they put up 100M and let Archie be the ownership point man

Forbes valued the franchise at 1.5 Billion. Other figures have floated around 700 Million. So let's call it a Billion. They would have to have a ton of investors to make this happen, so I doubt it will. Just as an example: Magic Johnson went in with investors to buy the Dodgers. I don't recall what his net worth was before, but now it is like 600 Million or something (could be wrong). So if Magic had to have a ton of investors, (and he, at this current time, is worth more than all the Mannings put together) they will need much more.

ETA: The Dodgers sold for 2 Billion to the investment group. Way more, but the point still stands.

Y'all are forgetting Cooper. His net worth is at least $400k. That'll put them over the top.

They could easily lead an ownership group and own team majority

Certainly the Mannings would fall short financially but they may have the connections to pull a group together either way the clock is ticking .
