What’s Your Honest Assessment Of Lutz?

I think he’s wildly inconsistent and too erratic in big moments. Time for a new Kicker too.

He will probably be one of the cuts to make room for Carr

Top 5 talent (arguably top 2) but had a bad year and appears to have the yips. Bring in competition for his job and give him a very short leash...cut him if he starts the season poorly.

I don’t trust him anymore. Love what he’s done as a saint but those mid range/short kicks seem to eat his lunch. I’m ready to move on.

Lutz will figure it out while wearing a different team's jersey.

That's a tricky one honestly.
Of course it does him no favors when you have the beat reporters telling you how he hasn't missed a kick for several days in a row during training camp.
Which I know they're just reporting positive news and that sounds all nice and then you know he'll miss a random 38-yard kick and with games being so close these days, it's just risky territory.

Strong leg
Not consistent since the yips/injury
Can do better.

Cut him.

Is he still affected by the core injury, wether physically not yet 100% or hasn’t mentally recovered. As another poster mentioned, you have to keep him on a short leash and start looking for a replacement now.

He had one bad year. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was coming off a bad injury for a kicker too. I think he’s back to his normal self next year around 80- 85% on his kicks next year.

He was bottom half in field goals.
Bring on camp. Lots of invites.

Pre injury I’d say he was a top 3 kicker. Post injury? He’s been a liability. I say keep him into camp and bring in competition and if he shows signs of his struggles again he’s gone

Was a good kicker prior to the injury. May be a good kicker again but in the end he's a still just a kicker.

Every kicker is flawed. Remember how bad that Brian Johnson kid was? Hell i forgot who the hell we brought in that year as well but he sucked too.
At least lutz hits those deep kicks.

He is a formerly reliable kicker.

You have to bring a kicker in as competition. Maybe it is what he needs.

I think his salary and inconsistent season last year will make him a cut casualty.
