Ok the Coffee was good !!!

I think we can do that, we definitely get 9-11 wins this year, I think we'll finish strong as the new weapons in the offense begin working better and better. I am REALLY pulling for Wright to take over to get Ruiz out of there

That won’t be hard in our division. I don’t think anyone but the Saints and Panthers will be good next year.

I like the optimism, I think this will primarily hinge on the development of the running game. Edwards was my #1 target in FA and they actually went get him. I wouldn’t have minded signing 2 guards, because I really don’t see Ruiz having a bounce back (hope I am wrong of course).
The Etienne signing is really solid, he is a little older (with a lot of mileage) for a RB. BUT I do like that he excels in the inside zone, which is what KM likes to run. He also has the burst to hit the edges, and is a VERY good receiver out of the backfield. I think that knowing that Love was not likely to fall to 8, he was absolutely the best option/fit for this offense.
In terms of the draft, you have to start with Tyson. Definitely the most talented WR in the draft……it appears that the FO was comfortable with the medicals enough to make him the 8th pick. He is a complete receiver, and has all of the traits to be “WR1”. I think this should also help Olave as well, by taking some of the focus off of him.
I like the Wright pick in the 4th as well. As I have said before, I probably would have preferred a guard that was a little more plug and play (because I am tired of watching Ruiz be terrible)…….but Wright has tremendous upside (if he can develop as a pass blocker). If he develops quickly, this could be one of the bigger steals of the draft.
Possibly my favorite pick of the draft is Delp. He is as athletic as Sadiq and Stowers……..and is a better blocker. The fact that Georgia’s offense was such a shite show, quite possibly led us to getting THE steal of the draft. His YAC ability will be a huge asset, but his ability as an inline blocker in 12 personnel (or 13) will be HUGE for the running game. IMO we definitely have out TE1 of the future in the building with Delp. Juwan only has 1 more season guaranteed and Fant was also a short term signing.
Bryce Lance is getting a lot of attention in this class as well, and I am excited about his potential as well, but I am also excited about what he can do to help the running game. Think about it…….once Shaheed left, Olave was our only deep “threat”. Lance (when on the field) could hopefully keep safties from cheating closer to the LOS, which will hopefully help the running game in 11 personnel.
Brown, IMO, could be a great get in the 6th. We all know his primary focus……but he did catch a lot of passes last year. There is some serious YAC ability in his game, that with a better offensive scheme here…..KM should be able to better utilize him than what Joe Sloan did.
There were a lot of fans (some on here) that were beating the table for a defense heavy draft (understandable), but many of us here continued to say that we needed more weapons (and IOL). If the FO believes in Shough (and it appears they do), then you needed to build this offense around him. He showed that he could elevate the offense with hardly ANYTHING around him, so it was their job to put the pieces around him to take this offense to another level. This will also help KM be a more dynamic playcaller. He was handcuffed by a lack of weapons (as well as injuries), but he did a good job with what he had.
On the defensive side, the Kaden Ellis signing is bigger than what fans believe. He will be the leader of that defense, and will be a pass rusher more than some believe. IMO, this is why they didn’t reach or trade up in the 2nd for an edge. Staley is going to be able to better utilize more creative with Ellis than he was with Demario.
I also REALLY like the Miller pick in the 2nd, he should immediately help this run defense…….which should help every other aspect of the defense. I believe that Styles and Hall will primarily be ST contributors while they develop, but with solid upside.
The edge additions of Wilson and Jennings are very solid moves in my view. Wilson has the tools, and I am betting on Staley and staff to unlock some of that potential. Jennings is a solid run defender. These moves don’t necessarily spell the end for Cam, but they are definitely hedging their bets that he signs elsewhere. Cam is going to have to come back on the FO’s terms, not the other way around.
All in all, I am not too concerned about the defense losing Alontae (gave up a lot of big plays), Demario (love him, but Ellis lessens the blow), or Cam (doubtful he repeats production at 37). I believe in Staley’s ability to scheme around it. The offense was in a much more desperate need of an infusion of talent.
All of that being said, this is still a rebuilding team……but we should DEFINITELY be competing for the division this season. If the running game improves (as it should), and a 4th place schedule……we could make some noise.
Sorry for the length of the post, I didn’t realize how long it was till I viewed it

these are the over/under win totals
DraftKings has Tampa at 8.5 wins, Saints at 7.5, Falcons 7.5, and Panthers at 6,5
That's a good bet to take on the Panthers especially. They surprised me by coming close to beating the Rams in the playoffs. I do think their defensive coordinator had previously been with L.A., so he was familiar with what they wanted to do on offense. But the key for them will be to see if Bryce Young continues to develop more. I thought he played better at home for them than on the road last year.
The Saints have added TE's and WR's. I think we will see more of a playbook expansion now. They could be able to have more 12 and 13 personnel on the field. Last year they just didn't have that kind of depth. I don't know how good they are going to be or how fast they all get on the same page but it's just nice to have more options.
The Bucs losing Mike Evans will probably have a big effect on their offense. They made a big effort to retool their defense so it's just a matter of did they get the right guys and how long before they all get on the page.
I think Tua will probably get first crack at QB for Atlanta. He's got more experience. But he's a quick thrower he hasn't ever been a big go through the progressions type of QB. But I think that was all a part of the scheme he was in. They kind of had to mask their O-line issues. Atlanta took a big gamble on James Pearce and he produced on the field, but you just wonder how screwed he'll be once he's been punished by the court and then Goodell.

a 4th place schedule
The Saints’ schedule this season is almost the weakest in the league and they could probably improve on the number of wins if they had the same roster as last season.
But the roster has improved and it’s almost a certainty the win total will go up. But are the Saints in a “be careful what you wish for” scenario? Perform well enough in the regular season to impact your draft picks and 2027 schedule but have no real shot at going anywhere in the playoffs? Eight wins and the Saints can have another legitimate shot at loading the team and having an average rated 2027 schedule and then have a better chance of winning some playoff games.

IMO you want to get to the playoffs and get Shough and the young guy’s experience and then go all in when we have a ton of cap space in 2027 for a Super Bowl run

I wouldn’t be shocked if we won anywhere between 6-10 games this year.

Essentially the Patriots last year, and the NFC South doesn’t have the Bills in it.

There's no way we end the regular season with Ten wins.
It'll be atleast 11

If they win the division, making the playoffs is a given.

Home games
Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings
Cleveland Browns
Pittsburgh Steelers
Arizona Cardinals
Las Vegas Raiders
Road games
Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore Ravens
Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Detroit Lions
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New York Giants
Unknowns are how the team will handle an international game, and how the team will react with leaders like Demario and potentially Cam not returning.
Our home slate looks really good for us. Vikings and Packers seem like the two we need to be most worried about. The Vikings defense is stout and they always give us problems. I think we win at least 5-6 of those games.
The Bears, Ravens and Lions will be tough road opponents. I think the Giants will be better, but not that good.
I think 8.5 is a good line for this team. Winning the division is definitely in play.

Count me in for 10 wins as well (some of that is because of a weak schedule).
As far as the super long comments by one of the first commentors, I agree with everything except,
Our two new DE's are hot garbage.
No opposing defenses will fear B. Brown in the lineup.

[obligatory]
I think we win 8-9 and make a run at the playoffs. Being one of the most improved teams in a really crappy division will help.
