I have no idea where the meeting took place but the link you just posted says Atlanta.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this has all involved Atlanta since the beginning.

His people contact the Falcons to express interest, Atlanta holds off on finalizing Ryan’s restructure until after the legal announcement. Then let a couple of other teams take the initial press before Atlanta slides in right at the end.

Last time that ended with potential jail time. Get him one, he will definitely choose us, then we will sign him to a contract bigger than Rodgers and he will be suspended for 5 years after being found innocent.

Keep our picks, keep our players and build from within and the draft. If anyone realistically thought we were winning the superbowl tge year after Payton retires and hiring a coach most won't stop bitching about: PM me the name of your dealer, I need some of that shite lol

He comes to us he wins. He goes to Atl he loses. It’s that simple.

It’s a win win. If he comes here, the team should be good.

If he goes to Atlanta they will suck for at least the next five years

I'm sure this is a negotiation tactic.

Maybe he’s letting down Atlanta easy with his “incredibly torn” since he has a prior relationship with the organization.

Yeah emotional pull of home with a team that will be slightly better than the Texans vs having a chance to actually win.

That’s why I think the longer this goes is actually better for the saints. Let the emotion of playing at home wear off and make a business decision.

I honestly have this thought as well. I prefer he comes here because we’re instant SB contenders and franchise QB for 10+ years. If he goes to ATL, they’re fricked for half a decade plus and unimportant.

I'm really good either way at this point. I'm ok with keeping capital/re signing Jameis I'm ok with getting Watson. Either way we're gonna be fine.

I feel the same way.. i understand Watson being torn, but i dont want him to put us in a bad spot with Jameis.. if im Loomis tonight, im telling Watson’s people that we need an answer by close of business tomorrow (Thurs) or offer’s off the table, then we re-sign Jameis .

Possibly. I can’t see what they could offer other than proximity to home

I think he's testing the parlors. I mean waters, testing the waters of all the teams
