How does he get to choose ?
Shouldn’t the Texans be deciding?

No he’s not. The qb market is frozen until he decides. If he doesn’t go to ATL, they keeping Ryan. Baker isn’t getting traded until Watson decides where he’s going. Winston also has to wait.

I honestly can’t believe this is even a damn decision. The falcons roster may be the worst I have seen especially with no assets after the trade to get any better. You literally have a championship caliber team and you may pass and be on a horrible team.

I think the longer this plays out, the more it favors the Falcons. Playing “home” is going to get in his head and he’s going to forget all about putting himself in the best position to win.

Sure the Falcons could put some weapons around him but they don’t have a ton of cap space and if he plays this year, he’s going to be looking at a Texans situation all over again. The defense isn’t much better off. And their OL was one of the worst in the league. I would say I’m shocked that isn’t being considered but then again, Watson probably doesn’t think much.

Promise you nothing happens until he decides, then dominoes will fall. Unless Winston takes a backup job or Colts decide to trade for like Jimmy G or Baker. No team is making a move until he decides. Unless that team thinks they are out of it….

It would be so Atlanta if he chooses them, they give up huge assets, and something comes out leading him to jail time. Kind of like Vick in 2007.

The longer this takes, the more I think he ends up in NOLA.

Watson wanted to have an opportunity to talk w Atl. Atl wasn’t even thinking about throwing in an offer, but he pushed for it. They finally make an offer Hou accepts. Watson has his meeting and is still torn. IMO, he is trying to make Atl make sense, and if it did he’d have made his decision by lunch. But the fact he needs to sleep on it makes me think Atl doesn’t have enough for him and he wants to go in a different direction

The only reason why he would choose Atlanta, and I would do the same thing, is so he can play for his home team. The money isn’t changing. The only difference is winning and if he thinks Atlanta can build a winner in the next couple of years, then that could be alluring.

Atlanta has line problems on both sides of the ball. You can fix RB, WR, CB, LB quickly. Fixing a line takes YEARS.

Haven’t fixed the oline since their SB run and had one of the worst olines the past few years

Both lines are atrocious save Grady. Lines are just as much about talent as they are about personality and cohesion.
