Payton and Loomis screwed us out of many of Brees prime years with their bad picks and fa signings. Ireland is a tremendous talent evaluator.

Of course he will.

Payton had the connection with ireland. He is the one who brought him here.

On top of that it would be a promotion.

yeah, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

I've been wondering about that for a while.

Mickey needs to moveup to CFO of Saints and promote
Jeff Ireland to pres GM of football.I believe Jeffs talent
evaluation is the most important part of being a GM,if a
teams talent is inferior you wont win.Mickey and Kia can
handle the cap.

I will do it....I know the blueprint.

1st pick---Highest OSU player available
Trade away next year's Number 1 pick
1st Round Pick 2nd Take Project OL Player
Trade 3rd round pick to move up 2 spots in the 2nd round
2nd Round Best Best available
3rd round was traded away
4th Round Take 16th Best QB available
5th Round CB, S or LB to play Special teams
6th Round Throw a dart
7th Round WR

Grab undrafted RB off the street to fill out roster.

All the more reason to up the ante on the compensation. Payton is staying on television unless we release him.

It would be, but if we’re honest NOLA isn’t the kind of place we really should expect to keep nice things for long. Brees and Payton were an anomaly, but even Payton had had enough of the shitehole.
