Honestly, not a lot of groundbreaking nuggets in his article. I’d quote them here if so.
But we know Nick’s takes are informed and he mentioned the Saints are willing to make top-down changes and patience hasn’t been earned with this group.

Im to the point i think making the playoffs is bad for the long term success of this franchise. So while im rooting for them to win every game, im not as upset by the losses. Our defense is aging rapidly and the offense needs a new OC and qb. And i dont trust Allen at all. So this all needs to end. Winning this division at 9-8 should still be a firable offense.
I also think blowing this thing up is beneficial for Underhill too. He is really good at what he does, but its during a huge dip in fan interest.

Our defense should be in its prime right now. But when you keep making bad decisions and keep pushing the tab years into the future, you lose young players that you drafted and developed like Hendrickson, Marcus Williams, Ellis, Bell, etc and replace them with aging over the hill players.
