Agreed.
I don't know if I've ever seen such a fall from grace. It seemed like the Saints were a unanimous favorite preseason, getting universal love.

did I ever pick the right year to move out of the country or what?
Defense- the 2014 version is a lot closer to the 2012 debacle than the 2013 bounceback year. Wondering if it was a lot of scheming that made the D so much better. When it is scheme, in the second year teams have the tape all figured and there is often a fall off. Injuries but that's a part of the NFL
Offense- just good, not elite, then add the turnovers at some terrible spots
Special Teams- Graham has been surprisingly good and Morstead is great. Coverage and return teams have sucked for so long I'm tired of calling for a new coordinator.

The frightening part is that they dont seem to care. Someone at the game posted that Brees was just going through the motions during warm-ups.

its been a rough season....but hey, we are Saints fans - we may have forgotten what it was like to have down years, but we are used to it :)

I'm not expert, but, at 4-6, it's tough to believe this is true.
IMHO, the Saints have a lot of scrubs playing all over the field.

should have kept jenkins and sproles, and this team has No WRs and OLINE is terrible, Cant afford to pay anyone who can play if you qb is taking 20MILLION

Jenkins never did and never will produce here.
Sproles costed way too much and after a fast start, he's slowed down a hefty bit. Minus the punt returns, but that wasn't going to happen with us either way.
We have receivers, 3 pretty good ones to be exact, 4 if you want to include Colston.
Interior OL is terrible, but for a group eating up ~16mil, I expect better than worst in the league.
QB taking 20mil in a league where if you're not a rookie, you're eating 18mil+ if you're halfway decent.

why do people just automatically assume the players suck? Seriously, Sean Payton isn't one of the top 10 coaches in the league this year...he cannot manage a clock, he wastes timeouts, he can't get the offense into no huddle when needed, he gets them in no huddle, when they have plenty of time
even the fricking announcers couldn't believe how careless he was with the clock...he was coaching on our last TD drive like the bengals would not score again, and we'd score every time we touched the ball going forward

Only thing I agree with is O-line. It has been a corpse slowly decaying ever since we lost Carl Nicks.
It's time to start pumping it up again with draft picks. Might as well since you know we can't draft on the defensive side of the ball.
The rebuild process is here sons.
