re: What happened to blueslover?

Hey all, I have checked in on threads this year. Just haven't chimed in cuz I have been traveling and life is still in some turmoil. I posted a lengthy RIP for my wife a few months back if any missed it. I am damned excited about the Saints though. Let's see how these final few weeks play out....
The defense on a whole for the first time in the Payton era has the potential to be a real upper end NFL D. Having the defense finally come together at the end of Brees career would be perfect. The expectations will be difficult but here's hoping for solid progress for Davenport. ...

#1 Pass blocking O-Line

Posted by blueslover on 6/24/18 at 12:51 pm
1. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 2017 pass-blocking efficiency: 84.6 Best individual PBE: Max Unger, 98.0 The Saints ended the 2017 season ranked first among offensive lines with a PBE of 84.6 as the unit allowed 15 sacks, 26 hits and 69 quarterback hurries on 559 passing plays. The Saints were anchored...

don't mean to bump it again but I must express appreciation for the continued kind words. I've dealt with the death of my parents and two brothers. This is next level shite in comparison. Just a heads up warning to those headed towards the retirement years. Now let's get our whodat on for a great...

You are correct sir....
good luck trying to break into this RB room. After injuries and only 152 carries in the past three years you hafta wonder how much gas is left. What kicks these old vets too is the minimum salary. It's over $1mil for Charles now. He might be a #4-5 good Kamara-like back up but not for $1mil+...

will do goat & goon:cheers: Thanks for the kind words all. It was a sudden massive heart attack so I've been dealing with the shock of it all. It was incredibly cool to have a wife who would ask, Have any good draft pick highlight videos?. And ya know how a lot of jerkwads can just pull lame ina...

In memoriam

As we are in the low ebb of offseason I wanted to share the death of my wife a couple of months ago. I post because I have noted her as the most knowledgeable female football fan I ever have known. She grew up in in a LSU religious household and learned game days were serious times at a young age....

Great Insight from Craig Robertson

Posted by blueslover on 5/16/18 at 7:37 pm
Watching his 2017 game against the Rams, Robertson showed me how he sniffs out plays before the snap. re: LB Michael Mauti released

Posted by blueslover on 5/16/18 at 5:12 pm
Was a nice story even if he never gets another rep. Good luck...
Tells me they were disappointed in Vaccaro as much as we were. Liked Elam out of the draft. Rotoworld- A first-round pick by the Ravens in 2013, Elam sat out all of last season in part because he was arrested twice in a four-month span last offseason. All charges were dropped in both cases, ...
Will be fun to see how Kamara performs as the sole lead dog. Giant opportunity for someone to snag some reps. Should heat up the RB camp a notch too....

re: Saints Cut Fleener

Posted by blueslover on 5/7/18 at 1:53 pm
And we thought Graham was soft. Fleener had the soft rep in Indy and continued here. I spose if your bell gets rung enough it gets harder to focus. I thought he would catch a ton down the seam. Huge disappointment....

re: Fair take on Davenport from Breer

Julio Jones is my comparison The Falcons selected Jones with the sixth overall pick, acquired from the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night for a package of five draft picks, including Atlanta's No. 27 overall selection in the first round this year and the team's first-round pick in 2012. The Br...

Fair take on Davenport from Breer

Posted by blueslover on 5/3/18 at 9:47 am
Most notable to me was that the Saints had medical red flags on 3 of the next 4 edge rushers - Saints pay big-time price, believe they’ve got a big-time player. I understand why some people are scratching their heads over the Saints selling out for a pass-rusher. After all, to move up 13 spots to ...
We all know that sacks aren't the clearest representation of a pass rushers ability but I do think you find correlation over time. Good question- How many sacks will equal Davenport being a win pick? In year one I'm just going 5-7. If Okafor performs near where he was at last year it will be...
