Saints picking Hendon Hooker with a potential SP to Broncos trade

I don’t really have a problem with him if he’s a 3rd round pick

Tell me you nothing about these QBs without tell me

Stroud is nothing like Fields at all. The only way hung they have in common is the college they attended.

What a stupid comment, just because he used the pick on WR doesn’t mean he would have to draft a WR this year. You could have drafted a WR like Watson or Pickens in the 2nd last year

WR is strong just about every year

This class is good. Kayshon Boutte isn’t even in two round mocks right now. This board is so draft-stupid sometime lol

Picking QBs is difficult.
Josh Allen was a pick based on potential that worked out, but not all do.
Thenn be Robles with WBs from Ohio State and similar programs is most everyone on their offense is physically better than the defenders they match up against most weeks. Makes it hard to predict how they will perform when talent levels are equal.

Sure is, one of the hardest thing in sports. And it’s even harder to find one of you trade multiple picks to draft a fricking WR at pick 11

Wr cost right now warrants finding a cheap pro ready receiver. Solid#2 guys getting 20mil is crazy

I don't get all the hype for Levis either.

The hope is that he is Josh Allen. A guy who had similar size and arm strength, but also the same accuracy concerns. If you are an NFL team you think he was just overmatched by SEC competition at Kentucky, and once you get him in the NFL playing with equal competition he takes off like Allen.

The worry is just the next in line of big arm, great size players who can't play QB at the NFL level.

And just so we're being fair, this is exactly why Ireland gave the all clear to trade this years first last year. They know what's coming down the pipe and are typically ahead of the curve on these things.

Olave is solid, but I wanted to actually trade back and draft Christian Watson. Or even double up on back to back WR picks without trading up. So something like Burks/Dotson & Watson. Time will tell if that is dumb or not. Just was my preference of all the WRs and where they were drafted. Drafting two receivers early on seemed like we'd at least hit on one, if not both.

I actually like Penning and Olave though.

I would love for the Saints to get Stroud somehow.

This WR class is garbage relative to the last few, that’s undeniable. You might see 3 WRs go in the first round, vs. the last 3 drafts:

2022-6
2021-5
2020-6

I know enough about drafting QBs that I was glad KC traded infront of us to take Mahomes so that we would actually draft Lattimore, and I was convinced that Hebert and Allen were both all hype and the teams that took them were doomed.

So if the Saints draft any of them I'm just going to support the decision and roll with it

Ask yourself this. Would Penning have gone 10th overall in this draft if he were in it. The answer is a resounding no.

Penning went after our original pick last year. So we would have at worse, ended up with him and not Olave. But we would have #10 or likely higher since we didn’t have Olave, our number two next year who people seem to forget about and both of our thirds last draft.

Levis has Superman traits but was a train wreck this year. Totally betting on potential with him but I’ve heard 2-3 times now that he’s QB1 on many boards.

I think he’s going to be the one that gets really popular closer to draft time. He’s going to measure out really well and teams are going to want the next Allen/Herbert/Lawrence type.

I wanna say he lost his OC before this last season too.
