Draft the best OT and WR you can and roll with Winston for the next few years.

Do you honestly think we’re going to the Super Bowl with Jameis? We might be a good team, but not a championship team. He’s never won anything meaningful in the NFL, even with all the weapons Tampa Bay gave him.

i think this QB class could have some gems in it.

just because they didn't play at elite programs doesn't mean they suck.

but I still don't think we really know a lot about what we have with Jameis. He did have a good TD-to-INT ratio when he got hurt but the passing yards were lacking.

it's not like anyone fared better after he went out though.

I think if a steal falls to 16 or 19 and said player plays defense, you still should take him.

use that 2nd round pick as a follow up on offense.

I think we’re riding with Jameis. Dude has the talent and has matured as a person. He’s a positive locker room presence as well. He was the #1 OA pick and is 28yo. He won a NC and played for another.

Winston with CSP I was sold. Without CSP I think the jury is still out. I’d gamble on taking a OT and WR/S with the first two picks. Winston may be a steal on his contract.

Winston, Thomas, and Kamara cost about the same as Watson

Please do tell about these weapons TB gave him? Certainly not the same weapons they have stacked around Tom Brady, a 15 year NFL Veteran with multiple SB rings.

I don't like Winston as much as anyone, but he's very likely the best option for a few years as we rebuild. If he amounts to something, win, if he doesn't, hopefully we draft a QB to develop and take over at some point in the next few drafts.

Think the biggest difference was TB really improved the offensive line and running game

The same as you were with Taysom?

Payton had a great career here but is vastly over rated ad quaterback guru

IMO you don’t draft a 1st round QB to be 3rd team. I see them going for immediate starters at WR and OT.

There’s no guarantee either that a mid 1st round OT and WR are good. They could both bust or be slow to develop - picking in the late teens is no lock for instant impact.

People are acting like it’s our birthright we could get two elite players - check out the middle of first round in recent years - lot of meh.

Its not uncommon for a team to invest in a first round QB and a vet and see who turns out better.

See Brees/Rivers, Trey Lance/Garropolo, Matt Flynn/R wilson (lol but seahawks gave him like 10 mill and were going to start him).

I mean we already tried to get Watson over Winston, why not sign him for 2 years and then draft a rookie he has to battle it out with? Lol. I'd be pissed if I was him.

As much as it pains me, I’d rather roll with Jameis for two years. Use the next two years to judge Jameis and use this draft and the next to restock the roster. He’s earned it based off his play last year. I wish there was more of a sure thing but there seems like a lot of flaws with the QB this year

We don’t have a first next year but Ireland had one of his best drafts here when we didn’t have a first round pick, nailing McCoy and CGJ. We can add a lot of young talent between this draft and next that would be beneficial to whatever QB we have to draft in 2024 if Jameis fails

True but I feel like those will be less likely to hurt your team in the long run than trading and forfeiting these next two drafts essentially, for one player.

This is another thing to consider. Him being on that deal not only allows us to continue building our roster through the draft and through FA to set himself up for success but also if we decide to go in a different direction in two years

I think they can make the playoffs with him and have a chance to get on a run. I think the playoffs is the first hurdle and they almost got there last year with 4 different QB's including 1 who lost five straight games.

Now do you honestly think any of the rookies are franchise or playoff caliber QB's? I dont. Maybe Pickett but I'm not sold.

I like our chances way more with Jameis vs one of the draft players.
