No man, cope and come to terms that we didn’t win the game. We had times in the game to not put us in the super bowl. We didn’t get it done.

They're all project quarterbacks that need to sit 1-2 years before they can make a dramatic impact. Of the top prospects, only Matt Corral would come close to being pro ready and that's not saying much.
What in the ever-loving fk are you talking about my guy? Kenny Pickett is well-known to be a super advanced processor, is mobile, and played in a pro-style system.

It just took him 5 years against tough ACC competition.

Do you honestly think we’re going to the Super Bowl with Jameis?
Jameis with actual receivers, not having your offensive line hurt all year and this defense?
Yes, he can absolutely make a run.

We know what the ceiling is with Jameis? If you trade or draft a new QB you have a chance to go further and get to the bowl.

Draft the best OT and WR you can and roll with Winston for the next few years.

What has Picket done to compare himself to Burrow? Are we ignoring 2019 and just looking at 2018?

Burrow’s performance left little doubt, yeah? Can we stop bringing him up with regards to Pickett
How about Mitch Trubisky?
How about Mitch Trubisky?

I highly doubt any of them are even equally as good.

Seriously.
Pickett started like 4 years and had one not terrible one, and that not terrible year wasn't even that good...and was in the ACC.
Burrow had possibly the GOAT season in the SEC and one year (with no offseason and a shite dinosaur offense) better than 80% of Pickett's career.

Had physical talent out the arse and Pickett is worrisome from a physical talent standpoint.
I got one: smaller, lesser-talented Kyle Trask from a shittier conference.
Will Grier?
Mason Rudolph?

Jamies is a franchises QB and he will prove that this year. The Saint got lucky that this man decided he wanted to be taught by two of the best to ever do it. It’s a shame last year he had to endure such a shitty situation.
We all know Tampa had some weapons but also had one of the worst 5 year runs as a defense, never had a running game, but did have some good receivers. Jamies had that team on his shoulders.
Let’s get him a tackle, another RB, two WO, and a tight end that can catch and I’ll hitch my wagon to this man all day. And on top of all this he himself wants to be great, loves this city, and has been great before. What’s not to like.

Since when did any draft pic guarantee jack squat

I don’t believe any QB’s in this draft will end up being better than Jameis

quote:Not that I am a huge Pickett fan, but you are also ignoring the lack of talent he had around him compared to someone like Burrow. His OLines were terrible and he had to move around a lot just to get a pass off. We will have to rely on the professional scouts that the Saints to make the call.

He played in the ACC and not as Clemson, so the lack of talent is assumed. He also played against teams without talent.

This board is so delusional. Never change.

Once the Watson fiasco was over and they signed Winston then signed Dalton as his back up, that was it. As far as the front office was concerned that hole was plugged at least for this year. I am sure that they do not see a Q.B. in the draft that would likely exceed what Winston should be able to produce this year with a healthy o-line and Michael Thomas back. They are not going to move up for a Q.B. in this draft at the expense of not plugging the WR and OL holes that currently exist. You do that for a franchise Q.B. We missed the playoffs by a hair without a true starting Q.B., the worst receiving corp. in the NFL (32nd passing Offense) 4 different placekickers and a huge assortment of injuries and covid casualties across the entire team.
