The Las Vegas Raiders have removed DT Jalen Carter from their draft board

Evidently they're still smarting over the Henry Ruggs fiasco

Last season and early in the draft process, Carter generated some buzz about being the potential No. 1 overall pick.
However, his involvement in the fatal car crash that killed a teammate and a Georgia recruiting staffer, plus his poor performance at UGA's Pro Day, have hurt Carter's draft stock, so much so that one team reportedly took the unanimous All-American off their draft board completely.
According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the Las Vegas Raiders, owners of the No. 7 overall pick next month, have removed Carter from consideration. Tafur cited Carter being charged with two misdemeanors for racing the car driven by recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy on the morning of January 15 as a major reason for the Raiders' decision.
"While the cases are not the same, the comparison is too close to home for the Raiders and their fans in the Las Vegas community following the 2021 arrest of former receiver Henry Ruggs," Tafur wrote. "Ruggs is still awaiting trial on charges of DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm and two counts of reckless driving in connection with the death of 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog. He is accused of driving 156 mph with a blood-alcohol content of 0.16 before crashing into Tintor’s car."

People forget that Lael Collins went from 1st rd pick, to undrafted based off of some unsubstantiated rumor on the day of the draft.

Bet he slips further. Why use a top 15 pick on a guy that has that much risk from character concerns. Wouldn’t be shocked if he went day 2

If the Raiders of all teams won't draft him, then at least half the league won't either.

Pat McAfee still has the greatest answer when it comes to Lael falling. "I called our GM at the time and told him to draft Lael right now, because if a guy can hit the gas mask as long as he can, he's got great lungs and in great shape."

It's something for one person to be wrong, but for two people? Impressive.

This is just NFL teams planting bullshite out there to not let anyone know their interests and probably sabotaging him so they can get the draft pick cheaper. Easy to do since he has baggage also.

If true how stupid is the FO?
Could have said nothing and maybe a team wants to trade up and get him.
No wonder they can't get over the hump.

Wasn’t he gassed and couldn’t finish his pro day? If so, that’s pretty bad.

Can we quit saying “and her dog” every time? A person died. A human person. We can mention it without spending the same energy to mention that a dog died.

Shut up bitch. It humanizes her even more

Supposedly he's dropping or off of most draft boards. Fwiw I don't believe it because GMs and coached can over look a lot of stuff it your talented enough.
But if he's there at 29 or even 40 would you want the Saints to take a shot.
IMO hell no.
