I'm sold. He followed the gameplan and clearly has trust in Payton and his system. The yards will come. Today they weren't needed.

This. You just know at some point Payton is going to cut him loose. I have no problem with Sean easing him though early in the season.

Nah. You can’t go crazy either way after one week. Thankfully, our overreaction is based on how good he played and not the other way around.

Have never liked Jameis because of his personality and past. I know the talent is there

His humility last year changed my mind on him. Taking way less than market value just to sit and learn under Payton and Brees spoke volumes to me.

Plus the bomb to Harris is just something Drew couldn’t do the last two years and other teams knew it.

Was already sold. Tampa ruined him.
There was no way a number 1 pick heisman winner wasn’t going to excel in Payton’s system.

And I love his personality. Dude says every sentence like it’s his last on earth. Seems like he would be a fun arse guy to share a locker room with.

What’s not to like? Obviously we want to see him keep improving but you’ve got to be one miserable fricker to complain about today’s result

I really liked what I saw for his awareness. It is not hard to remain calm with a defensive performance like that.

I am not sold yet.

I think the thing I liked the most was his execution looked smooth and systematic.

Nothing looked forced, rushed, or panicked.

That’s hugely encouraging.

Even when plays broke down, he showed poise and solid decision making.

I will say I hated to see him wearing #2. I had some bad flashbacks.

I’m sold that he is clearly our best option under center.

Nothing else matters

I’m in the same boat! I’ve never been a fan, but I want to be. I’m not sold yet, but I hope I’m chanting his name by the end of the season.

Have not been a fan of his. However, he played lights out today. He looked poised and confident. I believe he is finally beginning to grow up, and that is exactly what he needed to do. I am definitely encouraged.

Something about the receivers today just looked like they were going to do anything to help their QB. They want him to succeed.

I'm very encouraged by his play today, to say nothing of our awesome defensive performance.

Yes, I was less than impressed by Winston's antics when he was younger, but as my wife and I always say, "Everyone deserves a chance to grow up".

Football wise, I think we saw him grow up some today. Here's to hoping he can handle prosperity..

I thought of that too and I disagree.

Fair enough. And I was just giving you shite about the ‘store. I don’t give a shite.

That would be gayer than he gay sex he has.

He may somehow someway may have tried to make some pseudo philosophical passive aggressive move, but he didn’t want any part of THAT. He got beat the frick down.
