I hope this is true. He's the seemingly the best option of what is left.
But since when does an adam schefter report that doesnt even say we "are hiring" but "working to hire" = "Done Deal/Hired"?

we can't hire him until after the Super Bowl so this is how it must be worded until then

Again you’re lack of self awareness is something
But hey keep carrying water for this front office, their actions and results the past 2 seasons definitely puts you on the right side of history against the naysayers.

With that kind of write up, this leads me to believe that you had similar to drop regardless of who the hire was just to shite on any hire the team makes.
This is a bad example. Hackett called the plays from the beginning of the year, and at some point, in the back half he turned it over to Kubiak. Then Rosburg comes in and shakes it up again. Payton replacing the entire offensive staff shouldn't surprise anyone, since Payton calls the plays for his teams. He also wanted Lombardi as his OC.
I can't speak for what he did or didn't do in Minnesota, but the fact that he was fired with the rest of the staff when a first time HC, who was previously an OC himself, should not be a red flag either.

When Hackett was dismissed in Denver, interim head coach Jerry Rosburg reassigned play calling duties from Kubiak and gave them to offensive coordinator Justin Outten. All three of them were let go once Sean Payton entered the building.

They could have resurrected Bill Walsh back from the dead, hired him as OC, and some people here would argue that he knows nothing about offensive football and is a terrible hire.
For someone relatively new here, you sir are in tune with what goes on here.

What is not to like about this hire? He coaching pedigree is the best of everything we are looking for. Experienced play caller, makes players better, learned from innovative coaches, young. Throw in he now has championship experience, I don't see how anyone could be mad at this hire.
