I don't see the Falcons winning more games than us. Buccaneers are already 2 games back. Saints have it the easiest with the most talented team. I really don't see how we don't win the division. If they don't win it than the entire coaching staff needs to be fired.

We’ve played the easiest schedule in the league and are under .500. Heads need to roll no matter what.

the way this season has gone, the Panthers will come back and win it and the Saints will somehow wind up as the #7 wild card

Atl doesn’t need to win more, they hold the tie breaker w the win. They are also 3-0 in the division & Saints are 1-2

Any owner with a backbone would have fired Allen during the bye week.

I posted this in another thread.

quote:

The Saints opponents are 51-72.

Saints are 5-6. Besides our win against the 6-5 Colts, all of our wins are against teams at the bottom of their division. And the Colts are 2nd to last.

The record of the teams we have beaten is 16-39.

We have played four teams with a winning record, and three of those are 6-5.

We are 1-3 against teams with a winning record.
We are 4-3 against teams with losing records.

Titans 4-7 (last in their division) W
Panthers 1-10 (last in the division) W
Packers 5-6 (2nd to last in the division ) L
Buccaneers 4-7 (2nd to last in the division) L
Patriots 2-9 (last in the division) W
Texans 6-5 (2nd to last in the division) L
Jaguars 8-3 (lead their division) L
Colts 6-5 (2nd in the division) W
Bears 3-8 (last in the division) W
Vikings 6-5 (2nd in division) L
Falcons 5-6 (lead division) L

Dennis Allen’s coaching record: 20-44
Dennis Allen as the Saints head coach:12-16

I tried to explain this to my son. I told him if you are interested in the long term success of the team, every win is a setback and winning the division is a disaster.

This is a bad team and we need to hit bottom before we can climb back up.

Jacksonville, Detroit and Houston are 3 good recent examples.

no, only the teams with the best records get the wild cards, there is no automatic gift that the second best division team gets a wild card

do you honestly think the saints will somehow have 10+ wins by then?

To be fair, at this point she pretty much already has most of the money as the game tickets are already sold. Most, if not all, of what you see available are from the secondary market.

Now, if they are one of those people that can't make it 3 hours without eating, or drinking; then that is another story.
