Of all the players we are meeting with, we sign the one no one talked about.

I swear we have some clueless beat writers that all claim to have sources yet none of them are informed of what’s going on.

Also, this is a solid signing at a position of need.

Huge area of need.
Good move.

Now let’s get a TE.

Big upgrade over Davidson who will be let go. With some upside as well.

Sounds like a good run stuffer who won't give you anything pass rush wise. Tyeler Davison replacement?

The Saints agreed to a three-year deal with Malcom Brown, per source. @RapSheet reported first.

Brown's arrival could signal the end of the Tyeler Davison era in New Orleans.

In defense of the local media, the Saints organization treats them like dirt.

I don’t know why.

Seems like a lot for a 2 down DT. Maybe Davison was asking for similar money.

Rankings could be out for a good part of next season.

No guarantees how he will be when he returns.

Don’t know why a down vote.

It’s up to the Saints organization to keep the local guys informed.

It’s no secret that they have been ignoring the local guys for years.

what? based on what?

he's rated four bips better than malcom brown according to pff (64.4 to 64.8) and was rated the 83rd overall at his position while brown was tied for 93rd. how is he considered a "big" upgrade?

they essentially net each other out

A big thing for our defense last year was that they were tough against the run. Hopefully Brown can help keep that up.

Is it definite that Davidson will be let go?

Rankings could be out for (how many weeks). We still need a body.

Just asking.

Priority now is TE.

I like the bird in the hand. I hope we sign Cook.

Also, don't let the overall deal price fool you. Guaranteed money will be the key and it may be much less. likely half guaranteed at best.

Makes it a 1-2 year deal in reality.
