I'm not real crazy about this one, but the targets are vastly in Schultz's favor. Perhaps that's bc he can get open better. Just looking at last season though, JJ was better at catch %, success %, tds, yds/game, yds/rec, yds/att... hell, everything
JJ/Schultz are similar production/pay. Schultz is more expensive at 12 million tho.

do you ever shut the frick up about things that are proven you continually don't fricking understand at all. you think you always understand our cap limitations then continue to get your arse dragged up and done poydras.
I love completely un self aware posts like this. You actually think that because the Saints always get cap complaint that it proves wrong people like SFP that point out the cap issues are hurting the team don’t you?

the saints actually have plans and the ability to both remain competitive, fix the cap situations and move forward.
The Saints haven’t been competitive in a meaningful way since 2020
And have done nothing to fix the cap situation
But keep blaming injuries for preventing them from reaching the promised land of 9-8 and winning a shitty division with an increasingly bad and aging roster.

So does this take Warren off the table at 9?

Do you believe Schultz is better than Johnson?
This team has been starving for someone to step up in the pass game for years. Johnson could have been an all pro if he seized his opportunities, of that there were ample

I would assume so, BUT, he's a blocking TE...
I'm just joking. I don't think KM has really relied on a pure blocking TE much (but if someone wants to correct me, feel free. I'm not a KM expert)

The only thing changing about us is the scheme. The QB and almost every single player is the same.
So one has to think that Juwan is going to greatly improve just based on scheme change alone. That happens, its possible, but its definitely basing it on a wing and a prayer

Either we’ll draft our way out or not.

Probably. We would probably prefer a more impact position.
JJ and Shedeur recently caught on cam with JJ saying to Sheduer to “get his arm ready.” Maybe meaningless maybe not.

I like Carr but want the Saints to be looking for the future.
Not saying that I want Shedeur either, necessarily.

We have to have 2017 level drafts the next two drafts.

johnson does a lot of work in garbage time.

Not saying that’ll happen but it’s about the only way out unless we hit on a qb. I do think the league is being reduced more and more to a point where qbs can mask an almost entire roster. Washington’s roster was dogshit last year.

You are right. If you don't have a QB you don't have anything.
And everything you do should be about finding the right guy.

It was a limited FA class at the position, where we failed was not being proactive at TE
That said, if Johnson can post 50/500/5 consistently it will be a win. Assuming we add another weapon at WR

With all the tight ends in this draft class and all of the picks we had, would it be asking too much to draft one?

I do love how he says Allen was holding JJ back as if he wasn’t on here arguing the Saints were competitive last year with Allen

Moreau has a cuttable contract and taysom's contract and availability is up in the air.

Again I don’t understand how someone can look at how this franchise is trending and defend the guy
And even worse, his defenders cite Allen as the main culprit but just gloss over who hand picked him, stuck with him, and had to be forced to fire him by an absentee owner.
What are we doing here ?

IF you can look beyond his VERY questionable 'hand skills'..you certainly CAN NOT look past his 'yards after the catch', since he goes DOWN at FIRST contact, no matter how slight...almost like he LOOKS for the first opportunity to fall down ! VERY BAD CONTRACT !!

Saints are run like shite. Was really hoping Moore would come in and talk some sense into these guys as the smart football guy in the room, but he appears to be content being another yes man to a bottom 3 front office in the nfl.
