The Saints have not been successful in locking this position down

We all know Hill will be a tight end this season but I still believe they need more help!

Any Free agents available that would work ?
Not Jimmy Graham!!!

they should have brought in at least 12 TE as UDFA and let them fight it out for the few remaining roster spots

yet they treat it like they dont even care about the position

You could cut all of our TE’s currently on the roster and no one would notice or care.

I don't know about that. Trautman is one hell of a blocker, and he was showing signs of life in the passing game before his injury

Once again, Trautman is a top 3 blocker in the league the last 2 years according to PFF

Trautman, Johnson, and Hill will be fine. Callaway was our #1 receiver last year. Now we have Thomas, Olave, Landry, and Callaway. Our TEs will get more open looks and less attention this year.

I guess/hope they really believe in Trautman. Taysom will also play a role there as well as his other areas. And Juwan is decent situationally. If Trautman can really take a step up we'll be okay there. But that's a big if

Fully expect Taysom Hill to tip up half a dozen passes that get intercepted and Jameis gets the shite for it

I want Krull to be good so bad just bc his name is badass. Sounds like a goddam Viking lumbering across the defense. Please happen

Could Lil Jordan Humphrey add a few pounds and play TE?

Or Maybe Andrus Peat or Cesar Ruiz could drop some weight and become a tight end since they sure as hell can’t block worth a damn.

Peat can’t stay on the field long enough to be able to block anybody lol

That Peat extension is still baffling to me! I realize that CSP & Co know WAY more about Football that I ever will but how in gods name do they watch Peat & think “Man we gotta lock this dude down with a new contract b4 someone else makes a run at him”?

his pass blocking is atrocious. But to be fair his run blocking is really really good. Running down hill he destroys people. backing up he looks like a child. Guess they just prioritized run blocking. At least that is what i tell myself

Peat's not going anywhere. His pass blocking is subpar but he is a road grader run blocking and in a pinch he can play anywhere on the line but center.
