Amazes me people are so shocked by this. It’s what the FO does every year.

You do have to hit on your draft picks and be deliberate with signings. Kind of like the Rams.

We need to not sign free agents and move down to get more picks to fill the vast holes on the roster instead.

Two things that Loomis has never done.

We are fricked.

Last year they did indicate being more frugal and budget conscious for those that paid attention.

Giving chase 13 million for one year, then going hard after Justin Simmons and then trying like hell to take on Devante Adams contract is not being frugal lmao….

Did we have an option not to be?

We are dismissive of just about everyone staying Loomis included.

but he's not going to make the guys around him better, and you aren't winning a super bowl with him. The correct move is to suck for one year. Just one year. Cut him, take the cap hit, see what Spencer can do, and reset for 2026.

Not trying to be the dick but it’s clear that’s not what Kellen Moore wants. So… Derek won 9 games w Dennis allen. Our TEAM needs to be better. Derek paired w a better offensive mind could be worth seeing what’s what.

Idk man. We'd need a lot of guys to stay healthy and we're old in a lot of spots that matter. I hope it works because Derek is a good guy with no drama. But we've had a really large sample size at this point

This isn’t a long term commitment to Carr but it can be a more winning bridge to the bigger picture reset at the position all while building the roster back up.

People need to chill a bit and just enjoy some fricking football and let Moore have some time and hope he can be a great offensive minded HC.

Sell the team

This is such an ignorant statement.

Why would a business owner sell their store if they're bringing in a profit regardless of how good or bad the product was?

Gayle is going to make a profit on the Saints and Pelicans win or lose. She has no reason to sell the team.

Not everyone likes watching 4 consecutive seasons non playoffs. Constantly over cap. Old veterans taking up cap and roster spots. A QB that doesn’t make players around him better.

There’s just so much dead money that you have to keep pushing out to future years to tell this story.

You end up a 9 win team if it works, with a pick too low to get a qb and cap issues still lingering.

If it fails tremendously you get a better shot at the qb reset, but lose half the cap benefit of the rookie qb contract because of the dead money.

It’s no win unless you are a guy under the impression your job is on the line this year without a playoff birth.

Mickey Loomis: If we keep repeating the same thing, it has to work eventually, right? RIGHT?
. . .
Eh, doesn't matter. Not like I'm getting fired.

Saints fans: I guess we can hope.

It’s so discouraging knowing there’s no way out of this. Loomis has the power of a Jerry Jones. And is an even bigger idiot. And younger. It sucks.

If we could have colour rush and a fully painted field it would be a LOT easier

So you want to see if we can max out and maybe make the playoffs?

We're just giving up on anything resembling title contention moving forward?

That’s what everyone against Loomis wants

You can’t field a better team until you have real money to spend. You want to have your Loomis and eat it too.

Your entire logic is simpleton, flawed, hyperbolic and pretty plain stupid. Tanking and resetting cap a little quicker guarantees nothing no matter how much you want to type words like it does.
