Payton said there are still a few "musts" to add this offseason. Visiting with a player tomorrow. Didn't say who.

He also said in another part of the presser that the player is coming in tonight. Wouldn't say who, but it was apparently in the same breathe he was talking about still having "musts" in Free agency.

This is actually very reassuring. Although I am still not confident at all in any talent evaluation that has Sean or Mickey involved in it.

this might actually be a dumber answer than

this dumb statement.

you're reassured cause payton says they still have needs and meeting with a free agent?

Could also be someone like TJ McDonald who is still unsigned but possibly facing a suspension to start the season. We could use another Safety.

Id rather kaep over manziel. Give him a goalline package. Would rather see him run it in than Brees.

Did someone mention joe mixon or peterson?
Adding: Mario Williams, Zach Brown

Kaep won't make it on a southern team his arse would be booed off the field at every home game here. He better try and stay on the west coast

If kaep runs in a few touchdowns in goalline situations people personal feelings would disappear real quick.

He's afraid to announce it, but we may sign him?

Would he be in disguise all year?

I would love Revis on a cheap deal. Then it pulls away some negotiating bs that the Patriots are trying pull.

It's Butler, not the Pats.

But on Revis, because of his contract with the Jets he is likely to play for either the minimum or for over $6 mil.

The Jets have an offset clause where Revis is getting paid $6 mil by them (so he can sit on the couch and collect it), but will owe him less the amount of what another team signs him for up to that $6 mil.

That means he isn't getting paid $6 mil plus what the new team gives him, he's only getting $6 mil unless someone gives him more than $6 mil.

But he likely would be looking to play for a contender if no one is going to give him a big contract. I was pegging him as going back to the Pats, but I'd be curious to see if he feels with Brees at QB that we have a legit shot.
