If we hire him we'd probably bring in Nick Foles as backup QB lol

Per Rotoworld:
This roster is ready to compete for championships, especially the defense. Assuming Mike Thomas comes back, they are a QB and WR away from being the cream of the NFC South. That gets you a top four seed AT LEAST.
I love hack writers doing hack writer things.
quote:I love how A) It's Sean Payton's fault the Saints have "salary cap hell" and B) The Saints don't have a gerbil in a back room finding loopholes in the NFL's salary cap policies.
Pederson, 53, would inherit quite a mess left behind by former Saints head coach Sean Payton. The Saints are once again in salary cap hell with no immediate answer at quarterback and little talent on offense outside Alvin Kamara. The next Saints head coach should be given several years to turn around the fledging franchise.

Wow, it didn't even register in my head after reading that last sentence until now. "Fledgling franchise" is hysterical. The Saints have been 16 years running of the best franchises in football. It was turned around by Haslett at times, but what Payton and Brees did for this franchise cannot be understated as lamely and pathetically as whomever wrote that.

What Banana said, but I'd add another interior linemen to either take over or push the 2 guards, but like you said they need a QB, WR to play alongside MT, and resign some key guys from taking back the division. It isn't this rebuild everyone thinks. And Loomis has proven he can easily get under the cap.
IMO, this would be one of the more ideal jobs for an offensive minded coach. They won't inherit a QB and can bring in/draft someone to become "their guy". Some of these other jobs may have the HC "stuck" with Fields, Lawrence, Carr, Tua, Jones.

I love these articles. They're gonna shape public perception that we're gonna suck arse, and I'll get good odds on a future for us winning south. Well, assuming we don't hire Joe Moorhead

Took Doug Pederson 2 years to win as many Super Bowls as Payton in 16 years

Guys who have won Superbowls as Head Coaches don't grow on trees. Not saying he is the answer, but he won a championship a lot more recently than Sean.

That statement would either need to be took Pederson 2 years to win a SB, while it took SP 4 years. Or, Pederson has as many SBs in 4 years as a HC as Payton has in 16 years.

Draft or sign a top notch wr, and maybe a te. Sign Foles for cheap, bring back the D, championship…..
Posted on 1/31/22 at 10:39 am to saints5021
League keeps the trend of letting teams play in SBs their stadium hosts, Saints will back there in 3 years
Posted on 1/31/22 at 10:40 am to Townedrunkard
If we signing foles, we need to draft a qb
