Day 4 Recap: Red Zone Fireworks, Defensive Standouts & More

Pads come on tomorrow, but Sunday’s red zone-heavy session brought plenty of action:

Spencer Rattler took first-team reps again and accounted for 4 TDs
Danny Stutsman & Julian Blackmon each snagged INTs
Juwan Johnson keeps scoring – TE1 vibes
James Burnip’s leg? Booming.
Charlie Smyth still struggling from distance

Rashid Shaheed made another highlight grab, but it was a back-and-forth battle with Granderson and Chase Young generating consistent pressure off the edge.

Full recap with rep charting, QB stats, and camp trends below.

Danny Stutsman

I’m ready to see how the OLine looks pads on, hard to judge without pads.

Stutsman is getting a lot of praise so far. Really excited to see him this year. We needed some juice and youth at the LB position

He was my most favorite draft pick for where we got him.

Could well end up being the best player we picked.

Definitely can see Stutsman getting a lot of playing time.

when a defense is lacking speed at LB it shows big time.

Stutsman was the pick everyone’s eyes lit up when we made it. If you followed college football and watched his combine he just screamed like an impact player. He’s one of those guys that makes you scratch your head on how he lasted till the 4th round.

I don’t believe Shough has thrown an INT yet this camp.

2025 was a deep LBer draft.

He might have been a early 2nd rounder in the 2024 draft.
