What?

No link but Jeremy Fowler mentioned Saints, Giants, Broncos, Packers, Vikings, Seahawks. Seems like Vikings right?

We're a lot more than a Jonathan Taylor to even be close to competing. I would hate this.

Not only that, I'm not sure he'd be effective behind this line and with this offensive running scheme.

This, there are SOME people in media blaming the scheme…..but not nearly enough. The biggest issue with this running game is scheme. Does each individual o-lineman need to do a better job with their individual matchups….yes. Some of this is obviously on the players.

BUT scheme is INCREDIBLY important to a run game, so is timing of playcalling and tendencies. Moore is failing at ALL OF IT.

Kubiak had largely the same o-line (with now more talent) averaging almost 4.5 yds a carry.

Loomis literally calls just to get a price with zero interest in acquiring a player. He's said this a dozen times in his press conference

I agree, the predictability in Kellen's play calling does not help the o-line's ability to block. Motion and play action are a function of pre-snap to create favorable match ups, and this offense is completely absent of it. I don't think the lack of talent is as extreme as it looks, a lot of this is on the playcaller.

What’s the price?

The offensive line is a problem, but we don’t have a current NFL level RB either. He’d be pricy, but now is the time to get pricy vets while you have a QB on a rookie contract. You’re likely to get 3-4 more years of quality production out of him. Let him play out his contract and draft a mid round rookie to develop behind him.

The scheme should change next year one way or the other. Etienne Can be cut after 2027.

Reports are that Colts are trying to get a 2nd. I don’t love his age, but it’s worth considering. Maybe our 2nd and 5th and their 4th next year or something. Maybe trade Etienne to recoup a mid round pick to a RB needy team.

I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it.

Im not gona pretend to be mad about this. Having a great running game would immediately take pressure off shough.

Doesnt say much for our big FA RB signing that we are in this conversation

Too many needs for saints to give up ones for Taylor

Do you really think Taylor wants to trade the colts for the saints at this point in his career

I would pass but not much confidence loomis is gonna nail the draft picks

With Quentin Nelson and the eagles retired offensive line coach? I’m in.

You need to consider the cap implications of bringing in Taylor and cutting/trading Etienne.

It should go without saying that you dont give up a 1 much less multiple 1s.

But for a 2 id consider it. Doesnt really matter what he wants. He still is under contract and seems like a pro. He'll play here if he is traded.

This team has very little talent and im not balking at getting it. Not every draft pick will be a winner and many wont even be on the team a few years from now. You have to get some established talent

The colts supposedly already rejected a 2nd rounder plus another pick for Taylor.

The saints better not trade for Taylor after hand picking etienne.

Now it sounds like the colts are open to trading him. I wonder if they can get a 1st.

I bet they at least get a 2nd and a good player.

I would think Loomis would be in the mindset of selling not buying.
