It's not a criticism of him. He will not succeed throwing 40 times.

You mean the Saints won't

Its getting somewhat concerning that in his starts, the offense has really not produced points in the 2nd half. Yesterday, only 3. Yeah,40 throws by any QB, is not an ideal offense. Neither is 3 points in the back half of a game.

It’s good for him though.
Being forced into the situation he was in is good for development.

Rattler's overall play was about what I expected, average, and he does need to improve.

The 2nd half particularly, in 2024 was an issue with Klint Kubiak and his inability to adjust no matter who the QB was be it Carr, Rattler, or Haener. Yesterday we seemed to move the ball better, but again could not score points. I'll be curious to see how Moore adjusts the next few games since he does seem to be a guy who will makes changes quickly when not successful.

His stats literally go in the trash in the second half. Different coaching staff same results from him. I want him to succeed because if he does so does my team but my leash is super short. If the saints go 0-3 to start put in shough so at least you can see what we got in QB's and keep losing for a high draft pick for next year.

I mean doesn’t that seem like a hell of a lot for him or anyone for that matter

Especially since we weren't down by 3 scores. Their offense wasn't killing it.

We have the worst receivers in the league

So this has nothing to do with not getting TDs? As fast as they are they can't get seperation. The QB is threading the needle every time. Maybe he's not throwing them open idk.

Buzz off. Ratt is the guy. Give him a supporting cast and watch what he does
This has to be a troll right? He had all his weapons today and a somewhat functioning Oline. None of the excuses from his previous losses apply.

Dude is content to throw passes within 10 yds of LOS and inside the tackle box.

And the Cardinals are shite. He just lost to another shite team.

Offensive Points Scored with Rattler at QB

27 (51-27, L)
10 L
8 L
10 L
17 L
17 L
13 L

The thing about Rattler is that he is competent enough. He gets the team in and out of the huddle, and understands operation.

He just will never do anything special, doesn't push the ball downfield consistently, and can't score.

Rattler had 23 pass attempts in the 4Q alone as we played catchup from double digit scores. Thats crazy. 11/23 in the 4Q.

He was 16/23 heading into the 4Q before the game got off script. When a team knows you have to pass, epically with our skill players and OL, you have no shot. This will be a problem for any QB we deploy.

It is, way too much, they need to run much more. Payton always had a good mix of running and passing the ball. They have 3 solid RBs in Kamara, Miller, and Neal to pound it. That can only mean 1 thing, their high picks on the OLine need to man up and start moving people off the ball. They let Arizona dominate them yesterday, and Arizona doesn't have no elite DLine to be doing that. Smh
